The real problem, my friend is that there is no such thing as a truly independent Ombudsman who will make an appropriate ruling on matters pertaining to press misconduct. It seems that the pinko journalists are allowed to name and shame whomever they please. They are allowed to destroy lives. However, if someone strikes back then the press have their friends in high places to protect their sense of integrity (which is not the same as our own sense of moral integrity) Good on ya for taking on the pinko at the Cairns fishwrap outlet. Funny that a bunch of beaurocrats representing the news media would favor the news media. How about a consumer boycott of any advertiser who uses the Cairns Post?
