OIC accuses West of anti-Muslim bias

* Hahahaha! Really? And why would that be? Year-in, year-out these wonderful Muslims spew hatred, bomb us, vilify us, sabotage us, undermine our interests and threaten and blackmail us, and then they wonder why we can’t just love them for it:

From the Chutzpah department:

Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu

BAKU: The head of the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) accused the West of anti-Muslim bias on Thursday and warned journalists against automatically linking Islam with terrorism. “Bias against Islam has increased since September 11, 2001 and a series of terrorist acts in Europe … What we see now is a monologue, not a dialogue, and that increases divisions,” Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said at the opening of an OIC conference on the media in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku. “The media must dispel the myth that terrorism and Islam are identical concepts,” he said, adding that the misrepresentation of Islam “adds fuel to the fire” of Muslim discontent with the West. Issues of media freedom in Muslim states, including mainly Muslim Azerbaijan, were also raised at the event. The OIC organized the two-day conference in an effort to promote “tolerance and mutual understanding” in the media. Among those present were representatives of major media outlets from Muslim countries, including Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television and Egypt’s Al-Ahram newspaper. – AFP

* Hmm. First, who, in Ihsanoglu’s opinion, was behind 9/11? Second, whether or not he believes Muslims were responsible for 9/11 and other attacks, does he mean to justify current and future violence based on the fact that Western media may hurt Muslims’ feelings?

And, by the way, it was Ihsanoglu who called the Danish cartoons of Muhammad the “9/11 of the Islamic world.” Y’know, talk like that just “adds fuel to the fire” of Western discontent with the OIC. But no effigies will be burned, no bystanders injured.

  1. Bias, misrepresentation, terrorism = Islam (myth?), misconception, discontent, “tolerance and mutual understanding” and all the rest of the weasel words.

It’s got so bad in Amsterstan that a school has given up discussing farm life because “various pupils began to demolish the classroom when the pig came up for discussion.” ( http://www.nisnews.nl/public/270407_1.htm )

  2. “The media must dispel the myth that terrorism and Islam are identical concepts…” [Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu]

    What, like this?

Jihad hymn in youth group’s soccer video

Bomb explosions and missiles launching form part of the music in the clip promoting the Liverpool Youth Cup.

“With the swords we shall exterminate the infidels and death is the desire of the pure,” one translated verse says.

“With jihad the banners of the evident victory shall rise high.

“We shall go to heaven fearing no death. We shall not waver … we are the cubs of the victorious conquerors.”

No heaven for deluded jihadis – Hamongog, more likely.

  3. Anything that doesn’t kiss Mo’s dirty rear end is “anti-Muslim bias”. If we are anti -Muslim there is good reason-just watch the news or read a paper. Even though the mainstream media is so Islam friendly it can’t cover up all of the daily outrages caused by the peaceful ones. We’re expected to like a philosophy that calls for killing, destroying and insulting the majority of the world? I don’t think so!

  4. I am constantly amazed that anyone with half a brain could still call islam peaceful.
I don’t hate muslims. There is only one thing in this world that I do hate and that is islam.
It needs to be demolished and sent to the deepest room in hell where it rightfully belongs.
We as people have to stand up and ridicule and stand against this evil cult and we have to get strong leaders in the west who are not willing to put up with the rubbish of the islamists.
How long can the continuous bullying, lying and killing be allowed to continue?
