Bush & his Kumbayah Brigade in the Mosque, Again

From JW

* Stupid is as stupid does. But GWB can always do you one up:

* America’s obstinate, dyslexic, allergic-to-learning president GWB swings into submission mode again and drags his sycophants to the mosque to sing ‘why can’t we all just get along’– and ‘why do you hate US’- there is nothing, NOTHING more shameful, disgraceful and demeaning…

Makeshift hijabs were the order of the day for Bush’s female staffers, but there is one lone dissenter in the background. (“Dhimmi diplomats” just because they covered their heads? No.) Reuters’ caption:

Senior White House staff members attend the rededication ceremony of The Islamic Center in Washington June 27, 2007. From L-R are: Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Frances Townsend, White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, and Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes. REUTERS/Larry Downing (UNITED STATES)
They really needn’t have gone to the trouble to cover their heads. If they hadn’t, their friends at unindicted terror co-conspirator CAIR could have just photoshopped the hijabs on.

Comment from JW:

This look’s like another act of surrender to me.
The American people have not been beaten, our military has not been beaten,
why are these people in charge surrendering? Pandering to the enemy is illegal, trading with the enemy is illegal, giving aid and comfort to the enemy is illegal. These official’s are not stupid, they are derelict. They are making a voluntary decision to ignore reality, and replace it with some self serving kiss azzing.

Terrorism Expert Steve Emerson Rips Bush for his Delusions:

Emerson: President Bush’s Radical Outreach

Bush’s Outreach Partners

Terrorism expert Steve Emerson is just as dismayed by President Bush’s pandering to radicals at the Islamic Center of Washington DC as I am: Radical Outreach.

The President’s idea of an envoy who will “learn” from the Organization of the Islamic Conference is simply ludicrous.

At Wednesday’s rededication ceremony of the Saudi-funded Islamic Center of Washington, D.C., President Bush missed a perfect opportunity to repudiate apologism for radical Islam, and instead announced his latest plan to get the Muslim world to stop hating America: appoint a special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

Bush praised the OIC, saying, “We admire and thank those Muslims who have denounced what the Secretary General of the OIC called ‘radical fringe elements who pretend that they act in the name of Islam.’” The special envoy’s mission, Bush said, would be to “listen and learn” to OIC ambassadors.

U.S. approves contacts with Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Region is going Islam’

* And there is nothing we can do about it, except join them. Ignorance and stupidity rule supreme in Washington. Aw right, we can send an ‘envoy’- how about that?

Leiken’s naivete and willful ignorance win the day. For now. From the World Tribune (thanks to DW)

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration has been quietly engaging the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
Officials said the State Department has approved a policy that would enable U.S. diplomats to meet and coordinate with Brotherhood leaders in Egypt, Iraq, Syria and other Arab states. They said the program would first be restricted to elected officials from the Brotherhood and eventually be extended to their political chiefs.

“The region is going Islam,” an official said. “We see this in nearly every country in the Middle East. We either understand it and engage with it or find ourselves completely out of the picture.”

* Zappa sez: “You gotta get into it before you get out of it…”

The Brotherhood has been regarded as the inspiration for Muslim movements throughout the Arab world. The organization, founded in Egypt, spread through Saudi financing and has served as the inspiration for Al Qaida.

Many Arab countries have banned the Brotherhood. But in Egypt, a party composed of Brotherhood members has won 20 percent of the seats in the National Assembly and plays a major role in domestic policy.

Check out the ‘Muslim Brotherhood Project’

One might be led to think that if international law enforcement authorities and Western intelligence agencies had discovered a twenty-year old document revealing a top-secret plan developed by the oldest Islamist organization with one of the most extensive terror networks in the world to launch a program of “cultural invasion” and eventual conquest of the West that virtually mirrors the tactics used by Islamists for more than two decades, that such news would scream from headlines published on the front pages and above the fold of the New York Times, Washington Post, London Times, Le Monde, Bild, and La Repubblica.

If that’s what you might think, you would be wrong.

Here is some of their program:

Networking and coordinating actions between likeminded Islamist organizations;
Avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals to maintain the appearance of “moderation”;
Infiltrating and taking over existing Muslim organizations to realign them towards the Muslim Brotherhood’s collective goals;
Using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions, as long as it doesn’t conflict with shari’a law;
Avoiding social conflicts with Westerners locally, nationally or globally, that might damage the long-term ability to expand the Islamist powerbase in the West or provoke a lash back against Muslims;
Establishing financial networks to fund the work of conversion of the West, including the support of full-time administrators and workers;
Conducting surveillance, obtaining data, and establishing collection and data storage capabilities;
Putting into place a watchdog system for monitoring Western media to warn Muslims of “international plots fomented against them”;
Cultivating an Islamist intellectual community, including the establishment of think-tanks and advocacy groups, and publishing “academic” studies, to legitimize Islamist positions and to chronicle the history of Islamist movements;
Developing a comprehensive 100-year plan to advance Islamist ideology throughout the world;
Balancing international objectives with local flexibility;
Building extensive social networks of schools, hospitals and charitable organizations dedicated to Islamist ideals so that contact with the movement for Muslims in the West is constant;
Involving ideologically committed Muslims in democratically-elected institutions on all levels in the West, including government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions;
Instrumentally using existing Western institutions until they can be converted and put into service of Islam;
Drafting Islamic constitutions, laws and policies for eventual implementation;
Avoiding conflict within the Islamist movements on all levels, including the development of processes for conflict resolution;
Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations that share similar goals;
Creating autonomous “security forces” to protect Muslims in the West;
Inflaming violence and keeping Muslims living in the West “in a jihad frame of mind”;
Supporting jihad movements across the Muslim world through preaching, propaganda, personnel, funding, and technical and operational support;
Making the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims;
Adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;
Instigating a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and rejecting any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;
Actively creating jihad terror cells within Palestine;
Linking the terrorist activities in Palestine with the global terror movement;
Collecting sufficient funds to indefinitely perpetuate and support jihad around the world;

Hugh Fitzgerald:

‘Building Bridges” with the Musulman

Lets built bridges, you infidels! So that we Muslims can blow them up:

Build those bridges. Every Infidel a pontifex maximus, a relentless roebling, building building building those bridges.

Muslims feel “isolated.” Muslims feel “unwanted.” Muslims feel “unloved.” That’s why they do what they do in southern Thailand, and the southern Philippines. That’s why they decaptiate Christian schoolgirls in Indonesia, attack Christan churches in Alexandria, or Baghdad, kill Hindus in Bangladesh and drive millions of them out, why the Taliban, those hyper-Muslims, forced Hindus in Afghanistan to wear yellow identifying robes, why they felt compelled to blow up the Bamiyan Buddhas, or destory churches in Gaza, or drive even “Palestinian” Christians out of Bethlehem. It’s why death threats were made against Danish tourists, unless and until the editors of Jyllands-Posten were punished for daring to publish a handful of anodyne cartoons. That’s why bombs went off in Atocha Station in Madrid, on the Underground in London, why a Moscow theatre was seized, why Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh were murdered.

“Not integrated.” “Unwanted.” “Unloved.” Prove, Infidels, the contrary. Do everything you can to integrate those Muslims. Lavish every possible program on them — language, culture, all the things that no other group of immigrants appears to need, lest members of that group start hating those among whom they live. Provide every conceivable benefit: education, health care, subsidized housing, all far beyond what those hundreds of thousands, say, of Somalis now living in this country could ever have dreamed of at home, living in Muslim Misrule, Muslim
Malgoverno. Pile it on. Dedicate, re-dedicate those mosques. Do whatever it takes. Don’t say a word against Islam, don’t even hint at it. Always and everywhere denounce those who beg to point out this or that disturbing feature of Islam. Shout them down. Censor their websites. Banish those “hate-mongers” to the outer darkness.

Keep it up.

Bridges. Build. Greater. To. Understanding.

Make Muslims Happy To Be Here.

* Building drawbridges might be a better idea, no?

Majid Khadduri, a clueless George W. Bush & the global Jihad

Robert Spencer explains why the stubborn, naive and dyslexic US-president just doesn’t get it:

Majid Khadduri and George W. Bush

When he spoke this week at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Islamic Center of Washington, President Bush said: “In the Middle East, we have seen instead the rise of a group of extremists who seek to use religion as a path to power and a means of domination. This self-appointed vanguard presumes to speak for Muslims. They do not.”

There we are again. The Administration and the mainstream media (both Left and Right) take it as axiomatic that the jihad we see all over the world today represents a perversion of Islam, repudiated by the vast majority of Muslims. The American Muslim advocacy industry, chiefly the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has recently been named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case, has quite successfully portrayed any exploration of the elements of Islam that give rise to and justify jihad violence and Islamic supremacism as a manifestation of “hatred,” “bigotry,” “Islamophobia.” Those who do not accept the iron dogma that Islam contains nothing within it that can reasonably be used to justify terrorism are vilified and marginalized.

Khadduri was an Iraqi Muslim and a scholar of Islamic law of international renown. I’ve lately been revisiting his book War and Peace in the Law of Islam, which was published in 1955 and remains one of the most lucid and illuminating works on the subject. Khadduri says this about jihad:

The state which is regarded as the instrument for universalizing a certain religion must perforce be an ever expanding state. The Islamic state, whose principal function was to put God’s law into practice, sought to establish Islam as the dominant reigning ideology over the entire world. It refused to recognize the coexistence of non-Muslim communities, except perhaps as subordinate entities, because by its very nature a universal state tolerates the existence of no other state than itself. Although it was not a consciously formulated policy, Muhammad’s early successors, after Islam became supreme in Arabia, were determined to embark on a ceaseless war of conquest in the name of Islam. The jihad was therefore employed as an instrument for both the universalization of religion and the establishment of an imperial world state. (P. 51)

Thus the jihad may be regarded as Islam’s instrument or carrying out its ultimate objective by turning all people into believers, if not in the prophethood of Muhammad (as in the case of the dhimmis), at least in the belief in God. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have declared “some of my people will continue to fight victoriously for the sake of the truth until the last one of them will combat the anti-Christ.” Until that moment is reached the jihad, in one form or another, will remain as a permanent obligation upon the entire Muslim community. It follows that the existence of a dar al-harb is ultimately outlawed under the Islamic jural order; that the dar al-Islam is permanently under jihad obligation until the dar al-harb is reduced to non-existence; and that any community which prefers to remain non-Islamic — in the status of a tolerated religious community accepting certain disabilities — must submit to Islamic rule and reside in the dar al-Islam or be bound as clients to the Muslim community. GW Bush: Clueless, Shoe less, Deluded in the Mosque

By Daniel Pipes

Standing shoeless, George W. Bush rededicated the center last week. His 1,600-word speech also praised medieval Islamic culture (“We come to express our appreciation for a faith that has enriched civilization for centuries”), but he knew a mosque from a church – and he had more on the agenda than flattery.

Most arresting, surely, was his statement that “I have invested the heart of my presidency in helping Muslims fight terrorism, and claim their liberty, and find their own unique paths to prosperity and peace.”

Heaven help us from the Bushes and get us out of the shrubs….

Steve Emerson:  Radical Outreach

Bush coddles American apologists for radical Islam

While this may sound nice, it is rooted in complete ignorance of the rampant radicalism, pro-terrorist, and anti-American sentiments routinely found in statements by the OIC and its leaders, including referring to “Islamophobia” — and not the mass slaughter of innocents in the name of Islam — the “worst form of terrorism,” as OIC did last May.

In 2002, the OIC published its “Declaration on International Terrorism.” Therein, the authors stated, amongst other outrageous claims, that there was no such thing as Palestinian terrorism, writing, “We reject any attempt to associate Islamic states or Palestinian and Lebanese resistance with terrorism.”  To the OIC, groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, and Hezbollah are not terrorists, but ‘freedom fighters’

Bush is either in the pocket of the Islamo-fascists, or he is dangerously deluded or beyond stupid. Perhaps he is all of these things, and that’s not good…

  1. Bush is intent on proving he really is a moron and a dhimmi of the first order. Sadly this will impact all over the west, and not in a nice way.

    As for the muslim brotherhood: therein lies the source of the problems we see now. Google Sayyid Qutb. I KNOW the US has really lost the plot for sure.

  2. I don’t get it. Is there not a single person around Bush that is intelligent enough and truthful enough in his discussions with Bush to understand the big picture and tell it like it is without the political correctness and multiculturalism muddling the message? Has no one ever told him , “islam is the problem.”, or said a strategy to divide and turn the Muslim world on to itself is strategy should be studied? Are they all sycophants? Does go in one ear and out the other, over and over again?

    Bush actually believes he is emperor and today, he finally, after all this time, heard the crowd tell him he has no clothes. Yet, he didn’t repent and ask for our forgiveness for trying to do something its citizens deeply opposed. No he still sees us as obstacles and that is the mentalblock that slow Bush can never remove.

  3. Savitch says:
    “We live in dangerous times when our own leaders appease our enemies like this. Absolute idiots.”

    If one thinks about it too much one could get the idea that they are all a bunch of collaborators! They are, actually.
    They are ruining it for everyone and not heeding any of their own citizens. I can’t believe it.

  4. Indeed, that sinking feeling, that the government has opened us up to this threat and still isn’t bothering to defend the population. Like headless chooks.
