IS IT “ISLAMOPHOBIC” TO CARE ABOUT YOUR COUNTRY?

* Peaceful Buddhists, Methodists & Jews demonstrating in London on behalf of oppressed Muslims. Not!

Following the heated exchanges on my blog about the proposed mega-Mosque in London, I have been struck by another aspect of the debate about Muslims in Britain.

People on the radical Left have been accusing commentators like me of suffering from “Islamophobia”.

Lefties like Ken Livingstone use the term all the time. It is meant to carry the meaning that anyone worried about the impact of Islamic values upon our society is a senseless bigot and should shut up.

A phobia is a fear of something. According to the dictionary the term does carry overtones of irrationality. But basically it means you are scared of a particular phenomenon.

So I hold my hands up and say that yes, I am certainly deeply concerned and worried by forced marriages, honour killings, book-burning, fatwas, electoral fraud, veil-wearing and all kinds of other alien customs associated with Muslim ghettos in Britain.

I am fearful about the fundamentalists who wish to establish an Islamic caliphate across the United Kingdom and truly scared of the lunatic fringe who are prepared to engage in murderous acts of terrorism to pursue that end.

But what I do reject is the implication that any of these opinions are irrational. Following the attacks of 7/7 and the many attempted attacks since, it is quite logical to be worried about the separate Islamic communities in our midst which do not share mainstream British values.

By using the term “Islamophobic” Mr Livingstone and his supporters are unfairly smearing the majority of the British public. They are also giving Britain’s Muslim communities carte blanche to avoid changing their ways. They are giving them the impression that, somehow, the rest of us are being unreasonable for wanting to stand up for our democratic, modern society.

This is doing a grave disservice to everyone, Muslims most of all. The truth is that our so-called multicultural society is breaking down. There is no popular consensus in favour of British Islam developing along the lines it currently is heading.

If core common values do not soon reassert themselves then we are heading for civil strife on a major scale in our big cities. Communities are living cheek by jowel with nothing in common and with increasingly contradictory values and aspirations.

In my book trying to dismiss this all and shut down debate by flinging around the term “Islamophobia” is both misconceived and dangerous.

What do you all think?

* ‘Red Ken’ Livingstone is not ‘unfair’he is an Islamofascist commie rat bag with an agenda, just like the despicable ‘gorgeous’ George Gallowswine, who is deep in the Arab pocket. In a sane world these people would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town long ago. Ask yourself, why must we tolerate the presence of these traitors among us ?

That’s exactly it. No one is racist at all. It is a self-preservation thing.
None of us want to see the end of western liberal democracy and the end of the continuation of creativity in every area.

Obviously there must be some non-muslims who would be quite happy to see that happen. I think they, and the muslims would suffer a lot should this happen, and by then there is no turning back the clock.

There is no point then in saying, “I told you so”.

  2. Islam Phobia ! Iv got a bad case of it and admit it freely when asked, if I am criticised I will sue them for not treating me with equality, because of my condition which was brought about by feeling of being blown up, stabbed, bashed, raped by Muslims.
I do not fear it from any one else I don’t know any other group say & 7dy Adventist or even Bahia, not even an Irishman with a bad audited worries me.
No I’m sick and I need help, I need some compensation for the therapy I need to get over it.
I’m completely traumatised, I wont be touched by them and now I will ask any health professional if they are Muslim I don’t have to let them touch me, I don’t let them drive me in cabs any more and I most certainly will never shop in their stores and do research to be sure I’m not!
America never did any thing to us! but then we have not been running around gassing curds who are Muslim also burying woman up to their necks and stoning them to death or generally running around cutting out clitorises and my favourite mother’s slashing the foreheads of their infant sons with a big knife, while their pubescent son beats him self in the head until he bleeds, while aunties cutting the goats neck in the bathroom!
Yea well if its going I got it in a big way lets start a self help group!
I wonder if one can claim a disability pension for this condition?

A list of Halal eating places in Oz to avoid, if you don’t care to eat food sacrificed to idols and false gods is at afic.com.au/Halal%20Outlets.htm
    (insert the http www thingies)

    LIST OF HALAL EATING PLACES
“Only Allah knows best” it says, but God knows better, and verses such as
Acts 15:20 advise to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. “Prayers” to “Allah” while slaughtering animals constitute idolatry, as far as I am concerned.

I don’t obsess over it, but if I notice the Halal symbol or certificate, I avoid the business or product, if possible.

Foehammer is organising a boycott of Islam – foehammer.net/boycott-islam/ (only needs the http, not the www)

Goanna, if you don a hijab, or better still, a burqa and whine about your condition to government agencies you will be blessed with an endless flow of money, services and other handouts. Even if you are a male – who can tell what is hidden under a burqa.

I have been boycotting all things produced in Islamic countries for many years. It is becoming increasingly difficult as companies relocate abroad. Shopping in supermarkets now takes an hour or more as every package and tin has to be checked for country of origin. Australian foodstuff that states “contains imported ingredients” without mention of where it is imported from, is put back on the shelf. I only wish that I had the buying power of a Coles or Woolies. My lone protest won’t have any effect. But, I will check out the ‘foehammer’ site.
