…No person should believe in the veracity of any statement made by a Muslim. It is considered a duty in Islam to lie in order to further their cause:

Al Ghazzali, the great 11th Century Moslem theologian, wrote: Know that a lie is not a “haran” (wrong) in itself, but only because of the evil conclusions to which it leads the hearer, making him believe something that is not really the case….. If a lie is the only way of obtaining a good result it is permissible…. We must lie when truth leads to unpleasant results.”

While their parents shell out $33,246 a year in tuition, Columbia University students doff their clothes at naked parties, flock to sex toys workshops, broadcast porn on campus TV, bake anatomically correct pies for the “Erotic Cake-Baking Contest” and heat up the steps of the Low Library in a mass make out session called the “Big Kiss.“

And of course, there’s always the stimulating game, “Guess the Number of Condoms in the Jelly-Bean Jar.”

Others volunteer for the bullwhip at Conversio Virium, the university-sanctioned S&M club that means “exchange of power” in Latin. It calls itself a “discussion group” that provides “education and peer support” and promotes “safe, sane and consensual play.” But the club doesn’t just talk.

A strange article from the Economist. Looks like some liberals are very uncomfortable sitting between two chairs….

THEY hate our freedoms.” So said George Bush in a speech to the American Congress shortly after the attacks on America in September 2001. But how well, at home, have America and the other Western democracies defended those precious freedoms during the “war on terror”?

As we intend to show in a series of articles starting this week (see article), the past six years have seen a steady erosion of civil liberties even in countries that regard themselves as liberty’s champions. Arbitrary arrest, indefinite detention without trial, “rendition”, suspension of habeas corpus, even torture—who would have thought such things possible?
