President George Bush has repeated his belief all religions, “whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God” –-Bush made the statement Friday in an interview with Al Arabiya reporter Elie Nakouzi.

Al Arabiya is Al Jazeerah’s top competitor another hate channel in the Mideast.

” I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren’t religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that –- we had a person blow up our -– blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City who professed to be a Christian, but that’s not a Christian act to kill innocent people.”

“And I just simply don’t subscribe to the idea that murdering innocent men, women and children -– particularly Muslim men, women and children in the Middle East -– is an act of somebody who is a religious person.”

In Friday’s interview with Al Arabiya, Bush emphasized his outreach to Muslims.

The Decider: All religions pray to “same God” 

“We are having an Iftaar dinner tonight –- I say, ‘we’ –- it’s my wife and I,” Bush told Nakouzi. “This is the seventh one in the seven years I’ve been the president. It gives me a chance to say ‘Ramadan Mubarak.’ The reason I do this is I want people to understand about my country. In other words, I hope this message gets out of America. I want people to understand that one of the great freedoms in America is the right for people to worship any way they see fit. If you’re a Muslim, an agnostic, a Christian, a Jew, a Hindu, you’re equally American.

* Too embarrassing. 6 years after 9/11 this president (still) invites subversive elements representing the enemy to the white house and makes idiotic statements to the world. Bush will go down in history as the dumbest US president ever.

THE US President has opposed moves to legally term the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Armenians under the Ottoman Empire a “genocide”, backing Turkey’s stand on the issue.
“The President has described the events of 1915 as ‘one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century’, but believes the determination of whether or not the events constitute a genocide should be a matter for historical inquiry, not legislation,” said White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe.

Jihad — as sanctioned by Islam’s core texts, the Koran, hadith and sira, and actualized by the Muslim prophet Muhammad himself — is the eternal, aggressive quest for totalitarian Islamic hegemony, i.e., the imposition of Islamic law, over the entire world, including via terrorism and genocide. Dhimmitude is the permanent state of legal, social and psychological inferiority imposed, coercively or by threat of force (i.e., resumption of the jihad), upon the non-Muslim survivors vanquished by jihad war, and neither converted to Islam nor enslaved.

Julien Benda, in his 1928 classic “La Trahison de Clercs,” decried with prophetic accuracy how the abandonment of objective truths abetted totalitarian ideologies, which led to the cataclysmic destruction of World War II. The author identifies the “Trahison de Clercs” of our time: The complete failure of Western intellectuals to acknowledge the heinous consequences of the living Islamic institutions of jihad war and dhimmitude.

“Radical behavior in the Muslim world” — i.e., the conduct of Jihad through violent combat, qitaal, or its (for Muslims) perfectly acceptable variant, terrorism (that is, indiscriminate killing of Infidels, especially of civilians) — was not “created” by the United States. The Jihad through violence predates — as a doctrine, and as a doctrine put immediately into practice by the earliest Muslims — the existence of the United States by more than a millennium. It has been conducted in the Middle East, in North Africa, in the Iberian peninsula, in sub-Saharan Africa, in Sassanian Iran, in Hindustan, in parts of East Asia. For a time, when Muslims were defeated in conventional combat (as near Poitiers by Charles Martel), the Jihad then took the form of raiding parties by sea, the destruction of Christian coastal villages, and killing and looting and the seizing of Christians in Western Europe. One to two million were taken back to be enslaved by their Muslim masters. And in Eastern Europe, millions of Slavs were taken, and women from Circassia and Georgia, for the slave-markets and then the harems.

Jihad does not end. There is no, pace the thrusting young academic entrepreneur Noah Feldman, an “After Jihad.” Jihad never ended as a doctrine; it merely fell, for a while, into desuetude when the non-Muslim powers — the Christian powers — proved too strong, too strong to be fought militarily. But the texts of the Qur’an and Hadith underwent no change. The details of the life of Muhammad, in the Sira, were not changed. No, the only thing that changed was that Muslims could not successfully conduct Jihad against the European powers.
