I guess. Olmert has something like a 10 percent approval rating. I just dont see how he is surviving. I also dont see how the Gaza experiment has convinced the Israelis that the Palis will be anything but good neighbors. But then, I dont like there so I cant really live in their shoes but I doubt I would support a toad like Olmert or have any love for the homicidal Palis.

My guess is that they’re tired of 60 years of non-support from most of the world. I can’t see how living in Israel can be easy, given its neighbors. It doesn’t help that there are a lot of clueless politicians there either who really think the palestinians will be good neighbors if they get their paradisical (or is it parasitical?) state. Politicians have plenty of leeway to play games regarding Israel in Washington-those in Israel have no leeway at all.

One could believe that there’s a great idea cooking in Washington by letting Israel die. If the US helps rush Israel to its grave it can then tell the palestinians “See! We really liked you-we got rid of your mortal enemy so enjoy your paradise”. As we all know, Israel is the cause of all jihadist activity so once it’s gone the US can then say “We killed Israel for you-now behave or we’ll wipe you all out from one end of the ummah to the other”. All this would probably be a nice idea except for the fact that idiots are running Washington and the jihad to establish one world under Illah will really accelerate after Israel is gone.

And Washington will still be at a loss as to why they still hate us.

This move by the US hasn’t surprised me one bit – In fact I always felt they would do it in a heartbeat if it was in their interest.
