Most of the Western Muslim establishment is comprised of Islamist groups claiming to be moderates. True moderate Muslims reject Islamic supremacy and Sharia; embrace religious equality and democracy.

What is a moderate Muslim? According to a dictionary, a moderate is a person who is opposed to radical or extreme views or measures, especially in politics or religion. Yet, majority of the public seem to be struggling with the definition of a moderate Muslim. Perhaps we can make this task easier by defining a radical Muslim and then defining the moderate as an opposite of the radical.

Muslims Against Sharia compiled a list of issues that differentiate moderate Muslims from Islamic radicals. Hopefully you can help us grow this list.

It is stories like this that make me soooo happy I am a Catholic. Not trying to say that others are not just as tolerant i.e. Lutherans, Methodist, and such but I can find in these others a common thread. Islam should no longer be allowed to hide between the guise of "religion". Heck I have friends who have no belief in God whatsoever, but they would be hard pressed to do any harm to someone that does. I can respect their (non) belief and am not abused because of mine. These Muslims on the other hand.............

Where I live we have large concentrations of Amish and Memmonite folk. The biggest squabble I can remember in my 40 years of life was wanting them to put reflectors on their buggies. Some of the older ones balked, but all came to realize it was for their safety, the safety of their horses (who are more than mere pets) and the safety of those who drive vehicles. They are allowed their own schools, although they are compelled to teach the required 3 R's. But, they are also allowed to leave school at an early age to help on the family's farm, bakery, cheese factory. The only "laws" they adhere to are in the way they dress (which looks uncomfy, but you can see how pretty some of the little girls are) There is no full body covering. And the young men wear a certain hat. THIS is compromise. We say OK, that is important to you, but it affects things in different ways. Do you want to be splatted on the road with your buggy, or just put this triangular reflecter on it? SEE....NOONE had their head chopped off!!!!!! These families have thriving businesses out near my Uncle house. We make special trips there just for the factory fresh cheese.

I guess my point is: When we say "Freedom of Religion" or "We welcome" other religions, DO NOT take that as a fact that YOURS is more important to the basic civil laws in the community, county, city, State, or Nation. Forgive my rant....I hoped I explained my position well.

When an Islamaniac says "there's no compulsion in religion" he is indeed correct, Islamania being a death cult and not a religion. Too bad they don't see why that statement is true though.
