No, they don’t care about the people they now call “Palestinians.” They care about the land. That is what matters. The land must be recovered. It was once part of Dar al-Islam. It is now controlled by non-Muslims, and still worse, by the Jews. For not only are they especially demonized in texts that denounce and prescribe a state of permanent warfare against, all non-Muslims, but at least the Christians, who managed to stop Islam at Poitiers in the West, at the gates of Vienna in the East, have historically been a force to contend with. The Jews never were, until they recaptured Israel and re-established the Jewish commmonwealth. This, for Muslims, is intolerable. The “Palestinian” Arabs are merely a means to an end, the shock troops of the Lesser Jihad, useful tools, but otherwise arousing no great interest or sympathy. The Saudis, the Kuwaitis, the Emiratians, are not forthcoming with money for the “Palestinians,” never have been, and unless forced in Paris by the West to pony up the dough, never will be.
