A marriage is suppose to be equal therfore the woman not neccesarily being the head of the house but has a voice and a right to be treated like a human not property. As for the kids, well a man is in charge and he can do what he wants to discipline his kids. It's just our Western perception that things like rape, torture, genocide and barbarism are wrong.
