Gaddafi attacks Obama on Israel
Libya’s leader has strongly criticised US presidential candidate Barack Obama for saying Jerusalem should remain the undivided capital of Israel.
Col Muammar Gaddafi said he was either ignorant of the Middle East conflict or lying to boost his campaign.
Mr Obama was speaking to pro-Israel lobbyists in the US last week.
Referring to him as “our Kenyan brother”, Col Gaddafi also said Mr Obama might suffer from an inferiority complex because of his African origins.
The issue of race could make Mr Obama’s behaviour “more white than white people”, Col Gaddafi suggested, rather than acting in solidarity with African and Arab nations.

By which they mean, of course, not simply irrational prejudice against Muslims, but any honest examination of the elements of Islam that jihadists use to justify violence against non-Muslims and Islamic supremacism. We have seen this again and again.

OBAMA’S APPEAL IN THE MUSLIM WORLD
An Arab Muslim foresees a possible new era of positive US leadership.
* Why should we give a f*kc? We have nothing in common. They hate US. They want to destroy US. Lets treat them like they deserve to be treated!
It does matter whether or not Obama was raised a Muslim
Barack Obama’s new Fight the Smears website says flatly: “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.”
Last year she was still a Muslim
This, of course, is nothing new: it is just what his campaign has been saying for quite some time. And that’s why the mounting evidence that he was indeed known as a Muslim in his youth in Indonesia matters — not because of some paranoid fantasy that Obama is a Manchurian candidate, a secret Muslim who will tell Americans on January 20, 2009, “Surprise! I’m imposing Sharia!” (I have never credited any of that nonsense) — but because it raises questions about his honesty. If he was registered as a Muslim in school and went to Qur’an class (which he refers to doing in one of his books), why not admit that he was at least nominally a Muslim as a child? His conversion to Christianity, and his now-notorious church, are well known. Perhaps he has calculated that admitting this would cost him more in political capital than he is able or willing to pay, but — so does, or so should, his lack of honesty about this matter.
DEARBORN — As he continues to fend off false assertions that he is Muslim, aides to U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, met with Arab-Americans, Muslims and Chaldeans in Dearborn in a plea for support.
It was immediately apparent at the 90-minute meeting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn that Obama has some work to do, as he and the presumptive Republican nominee, U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, battle for votes in ethnic and religious communities that are “in play” in the 2008 election — including the three large communities in Metro Detroit.
First, some who attended the get-together Tuesday said, there was Obama’s speech last week to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a pro-Israel advocacy group, in which he called for an undivided Jerusalem under Israeli control.
The three Obama aides who attended the meeting also were challenged about the perception that he fails to denounce Islamophobia, even when he points out publicly that he has been targeted by prejudiced Internet bloggers, in particular, who continue to assert that he is Muslim.
“We are waiting for him to decry this Islamophobia as anti-American, just as anti-Semitism is anti-American,” said Dawud Walid, of the Council on American Islamic Relations. “To simply say that he is a Christian and not to criticize Islamophobia is akin to passively supporting Islamophobia. He has to address publicly the roots of these concerns.”
Obama’s campaign pointed Wednesday to his statement in a recent broadcast of “60 Minutes” that the Internet campaign is “offensive to Muslims,” and that he vows to work with all ethnic and religious groups to mount an inclusive foreign policy.
“It’s a cornerstone of our campaign to reach out to people of all walks of life and people of different faiths,” said Amy Brundage, a spokeswoman for Obama. “It is important for us to have a dialogue about the specific issues of concern to people of different faiths and we will continue to have these discussions throughout this campaign.”
Obama’s father, whom the candidate barely knew, was a Muslim, but later abandoned the faith. As child, in Indonesia, Obama attended a school that provided some classes on Islam.
In 2000, many Arabs, Muslims and Chaldeans supported George W. Bush for president, only to switch to the Democratic ticket in significant numbers in 2004. According to the U.S. census and some demographic studies, many members of the three communities are well-off professionals and small business owners who are concerned about issues such as taxes and government regulation, which often leads them to vote Republican. Many Muslims are socially conservative, especially on issues like family and marriage.
Indeed, the economy in Michigan was perhaps the most frequent topic of discussion at the meeting, those in attendance said.
Some Muslims say Obama is tiptoeing around their community because of negative images of Muslims. On Wednesday, a group called the National Campaign Fund posted another video on YouTube.com asserting that Obama is lying about being Muslim.
“As much as it is hurting me, I fully understand the senator distancing himself from Islam,” said Ron Amen, a trustee of a local mosque and a Vietnam veteran. “Obviously, I hate that. But I also know these are the times we live in.”

CAIR Seething at Barack Obama, Demanding Action on ‘Islamophobia’
Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 3:40:35 pm PDT
The Saudi-funded, Hamas-linked radical Islamic front group calling itself the Council on American Islamic Relations is unhappy with Barack Obama—because he’s not doing enough about a nonexistent invented “phobia:” Obama aides grilled in Dearborn.
* Oprah backs the Bommah: those who vote for skin color instead of substance are racist.
And because he says he supports Israel. They’re really hoping that Obama will be the one who brings about change, i.e. the criminalization of criticism of Islam, and the destruction of Israel.
Notice: yet another mainstream news article about CAIR that does not even mention their extensive ties to terrorist groups, history of extremism, or status as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas funding trial.
If Obama thinks he can out-bullshit the Muslim bullshitters, he is deluding himself. They have taken the measure of every Western diplomat who thinks he has a smooth style and charm. Muslims are inveterate liars; they are expected to deceive us and use every stratagem against us. Because most of our political leadership knows almost nothing real about Islam, they get fleeced. And they deserve to be.
