The Bungla in defense mode: Infidels who spread “mischief in the land” must be crucified or their hands and their feet cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land…and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter. (Q5.34).

British Muslim students have long contributed to the success of Britain. Muslim students have gone on to become doctors, business people and public servants, and all have been part of making Britain the vibrant society that it is today. ‘Islam on Campus‘ a survey published on Sunday that supposedly charts UK student opinion is silent on this, just as it is silent on seeking positive good practise examples of British Muslims reaching out, seeking the common good.
* If BS was currency Muslims would be the wealthiest people in the world:
The latest report on British Muslim students by the Centre for Social Cohesion serves only to strengthen bigots and demagogues keen to sow discord amongst British people. The authors of the report cannot hide behind a purportedly scientific survey to justify their own agenda of creating anything but cohesion in society. We refer to more concrete polling data that illustrate the commitment British Muslims have to British society and the people around them. The authors cite their unsatisfactory sampling to extrapolate ideological and biased conclusions to serve their own divisive ends.
We are a cross-section of British people who believe in the importance of meaningful social cohesion, where British people from all backgrounds and persuasions can live together without maligning each other. The Centre for Social Cohesion is opposed to this, and we reject their conclusions utterly.
We do not deny that the terror threat is serious, nor do we object to the notion that separatism and bigotry should be challenged, including from within the Muslim community. However the report incorrectly ascribes guilt by tenuous association with those national Muslim organisations who have been firm and innovative on both counts. Moreover, these organisations are theologically diverse, and yet the study insinuates that they favour one Islamic tradition over another.
The report reserves a lot of its fire for the Islamic student societies that operate from campus up and down the country. We find it curious, therefore, that the report sought qualitative opinions from only twelve Islamic student societies, yet there are scores of Muslim student bodies in the UK – hardly a representative sample. Islamic societies have done much to engage Muslim students with the mainstream. The study could have cited, for example, those Islamic societies that worked in partnership with those Jewish student societies to bring about greater understanding.
A report like this can only create discord amongst us. It has already done so with incendiary headlines such as ‘Muslim students back killings‘. Muslim students do not back killings, they are not separatist, they are British and very much part of our vibrant society.

| Joint Statement Between Islamic Societies and FOSIS in Response to Islam on Campus Report |
| Wednesday, 30th July 2008 As members of the Muslim student community, we, the undersigned, feel the need to express our conviction that the report published by the Centre for Social Cohesion (CSC) is ideologically biased and motivated by an underlying malice. This report, as many others in the past, attempts to undermine the positive work and the invaluable services that we provide for all students on campus, whether this is in the form of offering spiritual and academic training for students, or providing a platform for intellectual debate and discussion. We feel this report is irresponsible in its attempt to scaremonger and vilify the Islamic Societies (Isocs) and contributes to the perpetuation of a climate of Islamophobia, which, unfortunately, is increasing at an alarming rate on campus. As such the report becomes yet one more way in which Muslim students are alienated and seen as the problem rather than empowered to be agents for positive change. Furthermore, the suggestion that extremist activity is taking place on campus is unqualified and irresponsible, and damages the strong relationships forged between Isocs and their respective universities. We therefore hold that by making such assertions without due evidence, the validity of the conclusions of the report are brought into serious question. We would also like to draw attention to the fact that following the dreadful events of 7/7 the Muslim student population has suffered considerable difficulties. Despite these, they have shown great resilience and a continuing desire to contribute positively to University life and wider society. The report’s effect is to criminalise the Muslim students premised on a false assumption that they are particularly vulnerable to radicalisation. We would like to counter this assertion by insisting that there is no evidence to suggest that university campuses are hotbeds for extremist activity or recruitment. Although we firmly believe that there is no evidence to support this claim, we are not at the same time complacent with regards to the possibility of this, and so we have safeguards in place to ensure such does not occur. We do not, however, require reports like “Islam on Campus” to dictate to us how we ought to counter such possibilities, especially when the report is steeped in bias and clearly aiming to create a moral panic. We call upon the continuing support of Universities, other student bodies and fair minded individuals to help us oppose such counterproductive efforts by vested interests. We would like to send a strong message of defiance to such vested interests and mischievous efforts which undermine cohesion. Signed, 1. City University Islamic Society |

Joe Grey>>If Muslims were paid with BS for their contributions to the world they wouldn’t even let them smell it.
The Muslim contribution to the west is very insignificant. Bungle Wusses claims are, as usual, false and dishonest. The muslims have NOT suffered after either the Twin Towers murders or the bombings in London, all commited by muslims. Compare this to what muslims did to Christian students recently when a Christian student threw a piece of footware against a muslim wall (by accident) – or the reaction by braindead muslims to some cartoon about allah (Piss be on Him ). It also appears that a french child was stabbed to death yesterday in Lyon, and I strongly suspect muslim thugs given the problems caused by Muslims in Lyon and other parts of France. For those who forget, a young Korean boy whilst looking for a party of school friend in Syndey knocked on a Mulsim door for directions. He was dragged inside and murdered. The muslim pigs who did this phoned up the childs parent every year on the anniversary of his death to describe what they had done. My tolerance is finite, the tolerance of the WEST is finite. To the muslim is reading this understand: you WILL accept our laws and cultures if you wish to live here. We have thought long and hard about God and related matters, in ways far deeper and complex than you can understand AND – your religion is NOT wanted, need or wished for. If you cannot accept these understandings then you WILL leave.
The choice is yours – choose wisely or go join the Moohavejeans from AlCowda so we can kill you and get on with life.
If you want good quality BS – Bungalow is your man.
There are quite a few muslim organisations who claim to speak for *muslims* but do they?
Can they prove some kind of following at all. I somehow doubt it, it’s far more likely that they are dressing up their own agenda to give it some legitimacy.
I’ve had enough of their perceived grievances, their state of eternal victimhood, their hatred of us, their betrayal of countries who let them in and treated them the same as everyone else (obviously not good enough for them) and their attempted destruction of our history, culture, laws and most of all our freedom. The freedom of speech that we have fought for and our freedom to live as individuals. I’m British and we are incredibly individualistic. We are not compatible with such people. People come and live here from many countries and most of them settle quite happily and we don’t have a problem with that. We do have a problem with those who are parasites, criminals and troublemakers. They can go and good riddance. I will not tolerate people like the man in a you tube clip who was being driven round streets (?London) screaming hate speech about us and callling us kaffirs. There were people on the street backing him up. They can leave and as quickly as possible. I’ve had enough. My patience and tolerance is exhausted. It’s my country, if you don’t like us, go away.
