You gratuitously called John Bolton all kinds of names and it seems your argument rests on this technique which, I hesitate to point out in case you get even more huffy, is what the Nazis used to rouse up hatred against the Jews.

Israel has legal arguments supporting its adherence to various international laws. One may debate these issues but such debate is not fair unless it pays attention to the Arab League’s record. You might recall their response to Res. 181 declaring the State of Israel: WAR. Resolution 242 after the ’67 war: NO, NO, NO. (This was said before 242 was even done.) Currently the adherence of Hizb’allah and Lebanon to Res. 1701 is non-existent as was the case with 1559 before it.

I notice the recently released homicidal maniac Sami the Kuntar returned to Lebanon looking quite rotund and with a degree paid for by his gaolers. Gilad Shalit has not even been seen by the Red Cross.

I’m sure you express your outrage about these matters somewhere ………

What Israel is:

Israel is the only democracy in the midst of the Arab nightmare.

The extermination of 6 million Jews under the Nazis was not good enough for you, so now you want to wipe out another 5 million Jews in the name of ‘humanitarian law’ to which no Arab regime subscribes?

Name ONE Arab country that is not in constant violation of any convention ever concocted in Geneva!

Condemn Israel? Get a life, mate!

This interview reminds me of the interview done by Barbara Frum with Margaret Thatcher…Thatcher show Frum to be inept, in the same way Bolton show Lewis to be inept.

Yours is the the classic, predictable and utterly meaningless or evasive response of those who refuse to see what Israel is. Suffice to say that I am a firm believer in international humanitarian law, much of which came about as a result of the monstrous crimes committed by the Nazis during WWII, including the extermination of 6 million Jews (e.g. the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Fourth Geneva Convention.) As the documented record confirms, Israel is in blatant violation of these hard won human rights on a daily basis. Those who refuse to condemn Israel for these crimes are the real anti-Semites.

John Bolton is a blowhard, a racist, and a warmonger who serves the now thoroughly discredited band of neo-con pro-expansionist/Likudist Israel nutbars. Anyone who believes that Bolton has any credibility is ignorant and/or stupid beyond words. Thankfully, he now has zero influence on the real powers that be. A new geopolitical reality is emerging with Israel increasingly becoming the “odd man out” and the United States ever more dependent on the rest of the world. Bolton and his ilk are a flash in the pan who will be ridiculed by historians and relegated to the loony trash bin.

I just lost my appetite after watching that. I especially love the title graphics for “Inside USA” – the pictures of homeless people, cops and natives, and the little radiating mandala of handguns. Definitely sets the tone for what’s going to follow.
