Specialist advice is being given to Scotland Yard on how to reduce tensions between police and Muslims during the London Olympics because of growing concerns about the Games clashing with the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast during the day, The Times has learnt.
Experts will also warn the Metropolitan Police to ensure that the planned commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the massacre of Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists at the Munich Games does not offend local and travelling Muslims.
The recommendations have been made by inter-faith advisers to Scotland Yard, where antiterrorism police are preparing to combat any possible Islamic terrorist threat to the Games.
Community tensions in the lead-up to the games have already been raised by a controversial Muslim movement, Tablighi Jamaat, which plans to build Britain’s largest mosque and Islamic complex near the 2012 Olympic stadium site.
Michael Mumisa, an Islamic scholar, and one of four experts hired by Scotland Yard who began training the police this week on inter-faith issues, said that the commemoration of the 11 Israeli athletes, killed by Palestinian militants from the Black September Organisation at the 1972 Munich Games, could become a national security threat if it was not managed properly and was perceived by Muslims to be “hijacking” the Games.
Edward Kessler, executive director of the Woolfe Institute, which deals with inter-faith dialogue, teaching and research, said that police needed to have a “minimum level of faith literacy” to help them deal with religious issues during the London Games. Dr Kessler said: “During Ramadan you’re going to have a lot of tired, hungry, less evenly tempered people because they haven’t eaten for 18 hours.” (sure thing, that justifies an attack on infidels…/ed)

These 2012 games are going to be very interesting. I wonder what mayhem muslims will cause then.
Richard Kerbaj, the reporter of the Times article, is not to be trusted. He is an Australian journalist with a well-known reputation for fear-mongering and manufacturing stories. I would be very surprised if these experts are not his lastest victims. I doubt very much the authenticity of his reports.

You doubt the authenticity of Richard Kerbaj’s reports ….. so look at the facts:
There WAS a terror attack at the Munich games, – and there WAS terror threats to Beijing games…… A huge mosque IS on the way right next to the Olympic Stadium in London – there WERE a terror attacks to the London subway and a bus –
and if you look again Richard Kerbaj is not the ONLY author to this article -
We NEED to FEAR new attacks in order to prevent them………..

There is no need for this journalist to make this one up – why don’t you check with Scotland Yard and stop smearing one of the few, that dare to write about these radicals –

I don’t know what everyone’s worried about. Any commemoration will be of those palestinian freedom fighters who slew those evil Zionist spies. That’s how things work in dhimmified places.

Joseph, or Yusuf (if you prefer) is not to be trusted. Yusuf is a Muslim livng in Australia only to smear those who are against the creeping Islamization of the country.
Yusuf provides no evidence for his smears on “Dickie” Kerbaj and somehow (how?) hopes against hope that sowing doubt in the mind of the infidels might further his cause. And Yusuf’s cause, as we all know, is Islam. Nothing but Islam….
I’ve got a question for Joseph(Yusuf?):
If you’re a Muslim and Islam is so great, then why would you have to lie so much to advance Islam? Christians go straight to everyone’s door, bible in hand, and tell you exactly who they are and what they stand for. Nothing to hide or be ashamed of. You’re only deluding yourself in the end.
