About seven years ago, I queried a Saudi ESL student about women’s rights in the Kingdom. His response: “Women can wear jeans under their abayas.”

Guess that “liberation” is rescinded now.

On a query on dyeing one’s hair in black, the fatwa said that any other colour other than black is permissible. “Use of black hair dye is un-Islamic”, it said.

Ah, the inconsistency of Islam. MTP used henna. Hehehe.
