“Universal Values”

MCB press release, 23 June 2009:  Sarkozy Defies Universal Values as he tells Women What Not to Wear: French leader’s Burqa remarks are designed to whip-up further xenophobia against Muslims.

6a0111685b4b71970c0115705d03ad970c-800wiI would suggest we make the freedom sack compulsory for all the hate-preachers and Islamic terrorists who reside in EUrabia… and start reeducating the women…

Thanks to fundamentalist Muslims and ‘hate’ preachers working in Britain, the veiling of women is suddenly all-pervasive and promoted as a basic religious right. We are led to believe that we must live with this in the name of ‘tolerance’. > > >

A BRITISH CITY’S OPINIONS ON THE BURKHA

IT is a city that has found itself at the heart of the debate about Muslim extremism after providing a home to three suicide bombers who brought devastation to London in the July 7 2005 attacks.

And in Leeds yesterday the number of women clad head-to-foot in burkhas provoked anger among growing numbers who believe they should be banned.

Groups of Muslim women dressed in the restrictive robes refused to comment on their personal reasons for wearing the garment which continues to cause controversy.

“The freedom sack is needed to promote harmony and social cohesion”…

Assistant Secretary General of the MCB, Dr. Reefat Drabu said: “It is patronising and offensive to suggest that those Muslim women who wear the burqa do so because of pressure or oppression by their male partners or guardians”. She added: “Such suggestions can legitimately be perceived as antagonistic towards Islam. Instead of taking a lead in promoting harmony and social cohesion amongst its people, the French President appears to be initiating a policy which is set to create fear and misunderstanding and may lead to Islamophobic reaction not just in France but in the rest of Europe too”. And even though they were walking along a busy street among shoppers and workers, most refused to be seen engaging with a non-Muslim man in public.

Leeds has a fast-growing Muslim population of at least 40,000 – double the number of 10 years ago.

Locals say that since the 7/7 attacks in July 2005 – three of the gang hailed from Leeds – there has also been a increase in the number of Islamic women choosing to wear the burkha, much to the anger of many of the city’s inhabitants.

German-born au-pair Chantal Manzal, 23, has been living in Leeds for a year but returns home next month.

She said yesterday: “I cannot believe what I have seen in Britain. In Germany the burkha is hardly ever seen but here I see women wearing them whenever I go out.

“I find them really scary. If you can only see people’s eyes you have no idea what is going on with them. They are definitely wrong and should be banned in all public spaces.

“To me it is slavery of the women and I don’t know what to say when the eight-year-old girl I look after asks me about what the women are wearing. She finds them frightening and intimidating. How do I tell a little girl these women are unable to show their faces in public?”

Hairdresser Sarah-Jane Martin, 21, said: “There is no doubt these terrible things should be banned immediately. It is a sign of oppression against women and on those grounds alone, in this day and age, they should be outlawed.”

Retired factory worker David Rolls, 66, was more accommodating but still believed burkhas should be banned in most public places.

He said: “I don’t believe in demanding what people can or cannot wear. It should be up to them. However, I don’t think they should be allowed in places where there is a security risk such as airports, banks or indoor shopping centres.”

Businesswoman Marcia Booth, 37, said: “There is no more prominent sign of female oppression by men than the burkha. I find it so demeaning and whenever I see these women hiding themselves away my blood reaches boiling point and I just want to scream at them.

“Perhaps if Muslim men had to wear these horrible garments we would soon see an end to them. But that’s not going to happen, is it?”

Most women wear these items, not because they are forced too, but because they want to. Therefore to assume that all muslim women who wear these items are oppressed, have no life, etc, etc, is wrong. I think the best thing to do, would be to canvass these women themselves and establish excatly how they feel.

* One of the  (Muslim) comments stands out:

We need to clear up exactly what is meant by a ‘ban’.

A muslim woman will usually wear :

A head scarf
A Jilbab
A veil

The first two are part of religion and must be observed. The third (the veil) is optional.

* Bullshit. None of it is “part of religion”- none of it “has to be observed”. As one who has spent much of his life in Muslim countries I can assure you that I didn’t see any of these hideous head or body coverings anywhere (apart from Afghanistan) 30- 40 years ago. What we are witnessing here is the Islamic revival movement, the radicalization of large numbers of Muselmaniacs,  Islamic imperialism and the jihad ideology.  This is part of the “fanatical frenzy that is more dangerous than hydrophobia in a dog”, according to Winston Churchill.

  • We don’t need this crap. Lets get rid of it. Right away!

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

None of this is religion – spot on Sheik. It is Middle Eastern culture which is NOT wanted.

As long as its muslimas wearing burkas, no need for action or concern, which is reserved for nationals with Union Jacks on their car parcel shelf or lapel buttons. Such things are “racist” and “divisive”, along with piggy banks and easter bunnies, Christmas decorations and above all, crosses…
