" is all I can say. After the Tet offensive, the war had really been won. The Viet Cong was decimated because the people of the South had stood by US, and their young, very imperfect South Vietnamese government. After that, we only had a straight conventional war to fight, and we could have won. But this ageing Blowhard with no military credentials whatsoever (Sorry, combat journalist is just a newsguy who got dirty) issues his "Sage, wise commentary" and the folks bought it. It's not just the American blood on his hands, (On his and on the thousands of other fifth-columnists in America), but ALSO the million or so South Vietnamese, those who befriended the U.S.A., who were slaughtered. I hope they are all there to greet this guy into the afterlife. I am sad that anybody dies. But a lot of people died yesterday. A lot of them were better people than he.
