Steaming piles of taqiyya, anybody?

Waleed Basyouni attended the Al-Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, the academic heart of Wahhabi Islam, where he obtained a Bachelors and a Masters Degree. According to Basyouni’s DiscovertheNetwork.org profile, he studied under Sheikh Abdelaziz bin Baz, who author Gilles Kepel identifies as “the principal Wahhabite ideologist” in his book, Jihad: The Trail of Political Islam (p. 210). Using Islam to justify killing leads ‘to hellfire’

By Matthew Hay Brown matthew.brown@baltsun.com

The use of Islam to justify killing is “an innovation” in the religion, a Muslim scholar told a Baltimore conference Saturday, and warned: “Most innovations lead to hellfire.”

“The Satan always has people that he will be able to deceive,” Dr. Waleed Basyouni said during a presentation he called “Reclaiming Islam from the Jihadists.”

Hundreds of Muslims went to the Baltimore Convention Center on Saturday to hear Basyouni and others promote what organizers described as a moderate, modern interpretation of Islam for the United States and the West. It was the opening day of Ilm Fest, an annual education conference previously staged in New York, Chicago and Toronto. Continued below the fold…

Islam on Capitol Hill: “no we don’t want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy” “We love you, America – and we want your children for Islam”

On September 8th, I alerted Atlas readers that Islamists organizing and leading the “Islam on the Capital” mass prayer on September 25th had disturbing backgrounds and had made outrageous statements. Normally I would not post on a prayer event; I mean, who cares? But when I got a gander at islamoncapitolhill.com, and saw the Islamists involved, it set off red flags and it was clearly in need of its own post.
I blogged on three of the leading players calling thousands of

Muslims in prayer: Sheik Muhammad Jebril and Sheik Ahmed Dewidar, two Egyptians (home base to the Muslim Brotherhood); and prayer organizer Hassen Abdellah is a lawyer for terrorists.
Ahmed Dewidar is the

New York Imam who said Jews control America. Read my post for a refresher on these treasonous clowns …..

I failed to mention Imam Abdul Malik of Brooklyn, NY. The New York based imam, Abdul Malik,  delivered a sermon to thousands of Muslims who gathered on Capitol Hill. He said:

America is one of the best places in the world to live. What we have done here today we couldn’t do in any Muslim country.

And he made it clear that Islam would seek to make converts.

America, I announce to you, it is my intention to invite your children to the worship of one God. It is my intention to remove every idol from every place – nothing physical. It is a confrontation of ideas, because, brothers and sisters, the most powerful weapon you have in your hand … is truth.

The following is a quote from the Imam Malik’s Facebook page:

“Democracy is not revelation, and democracy does not equal freedom, for in democracy you have apartheid, you have slavery, you have homosexuality, you have lesbianism, you have gambling, you have all of the vices that are against the spirit of …truth; so no we don’t want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy! That’s what we want.

Part 2, Part 3, Part 4

Over at Docstalk: Cal Thomas

If you are an enemy of America seeking her destruction, you would add to your pursuit of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons the undermining of this nation from within. You would do this largely through deception, putting on a peaceful face while subtly plotting ways to bring America down. That tactic was on display last Friday in Washington as a crowd estimated at 3,000 Muslims gathered to pray. The organizer of the rally, Imam Abdul Malik of Brooklyn, N.Y., told Americans what we like to hear: “What we’ve done today, you couldn’t do in any Muslim country. If you prayed on the palace lawn there, they’d lock you up.”

As reported by The Washington Times Sadara Shaw, a resident of Washington, D.C., was quoted as saying “It’s a show of solidarity to show all Muslims are not terrorists but law-abiding citizens.” That is probably true, but irrelevant since it takes only a small number of terrorists to cause havoc.

“We believe in America’s possibilities,” Malik told the crowd. “We didn’t come to criticize our nation … I want the American people to know that we love you.”

The Imam’s Facebook page tells a different story. But only The Times bothered to look at it. While Malik’s Facebook shows him dressed in Western clothing, he attended the ceremony dressed as a sheik. That seems more appropriate to the real Imam Malik, because on his Web page he has written: “Democracy is not revelation, and democracy does not equal freedom, for in democracy you have apartheid, you have slavery, you have homosexuality, you have lesbianism, you have gambling, you have all of the vices that are against the spirit of truth; so no we don’t want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy…”

Which Imam is telling the truth and which is practicing deception?

Continued/taqiyya…

On the agenda for this year’s event, which concludes today, are talks on reconciling Muslim practice with U.S. citizenship, Islam and social justice, and domestic violence in the Muslim community.

“One of our main focuses is to try to tackle different challenges that Muslims face today, particularly youth growing up here,” organizer Mobeen Vaid said. “It’s really to give people a way to maintain their Muslim identity in America and telling them how to positively contribute to society.”

For the Saudi-educated Basyouni, that meant speaking openly about terrorism.

Basyouni said he did “not want to be among” his brothers who “still insist” that violent extremism is not a problem, or has been exaggerated by the CIA, the Israeli intelligence service or autocratic Islamic regimes, or is justified by injustices perpetrated by those groups.

He began his talk by describing “a very difficult image to forget:” the devout young man, wearing an explosive vest or wielding a machine gun, preparing to carry out an attack that he believes is righteous.

What saddens Basyouni, he said, is that the young man is wasting the one life he has been given on a false interpretation of Islam spread by “certain groups and certain individuals who … know how to quote a verse from here and a hadith from there” – referring to the two major sources of Islamic teaching, the Quran and accounts of the life of Muhammad – “to deceive those who are still not fully aware and fully educated” in the faith.

He described killing as one of the worst sins in Islam.

“The good news is that the nature of the Muslim community is to fight terrorism,” he said. “The nature of the Muslim community is to reject extremism.”

This year’s Ilm Fest has drawn Muslims from Virginia to New York. The event culminates a year’s worth of teaching by the AlMaghrib Institute, which was founded in College Park eight years ago and now presents one- and two-weekend seminars in 25 cities throughout the United States, Canada and Britain.

“When we do our weekend seminars, usually it’s students who are serious about Islamic knowledge, and we get a lot of them,” said Muhammad Alshareef, founder and president of the institute. “We do events like Ilm Fest to reach out to the broader Muslim community and others who want to basically get a glimpse of the scholarship of our teachers, get a glimpse of the atmosphere, make it more of a community effort.”

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

The people in this “demonstration” (as pictured in the photo above) are very lucky I am not in charge. Keep your superstitions, traditions, and religion to yourself, oh moslem! I know your wares…I know your mind.

“The use of Islam to justify killing is “an innovation” in the religion”

Of course it’s an “innovation”. Mohammed founded islam on violence and set the example using camels and swords. Nowadays we have many innovative methods of infidel slaughter such as bombs and machine guns….

Somehow, I don’t think the prophet is turning in his cave….ahem grave, though….

Besides the use of islam is not merely a justification for murder, it is the very definition and reason for the murder!!!

Here is “Sheik” Ali Gomaa in the WSJ peddling the Solkhar line about Abrahamic faiths with a common God (extracts):

By SHEIKH ALI GOMAA

* America and the West have been victims of violent extremists acting in the name of Islam, the tragic events of 9/11 being only the most egregious of their attacks. Western officials and commentators are consumed by the question, “Where are the moderates?” Many, seeing only the extremism perpetuated by a radical few, despair of finding progressive and peaceful partners of standing in the Muslim world.

* We have promoted the common ground that exists between Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

* First, it is essential that the U.S. confront the fear and misunderstanding that has often pervaded the public discourse about Islam, especially in the media.

* Israel’s occupation of Palestine must be brought to an end; its continuation is an affront to the fundamental tenets of justice and freedom that we all seek to uphold. In Iraq and Afghanistan, full sovereignty and independence must be restored to their people with the withdrawal of all foreign forces.

* This week in Washington I am participating in the Common Word Initiative, a group of religious leaders hosted by Georgetown University’s Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. While the focus of this initiative has been to foster dialogue between Islam and Christianity, I will call for its expansion to include representatives of all the Abrahamic faiths. The road ahead will be difficult, but we can, God willing, arrive at a more peaceful future together.
