If you are one of the good guy – apologies. As far as I am concerned , unless there is clear evidence that a contributor is not, to borrow your language, a wingnut (which actually has another colloquial meaning than that you have intended), I will simply treat them as such. Your initial post could have been interpreted in several ways – giving the current situation I took the worst case.
Given that I see very little real effort by the “moderate muslim” to combat the islamist, I am simply not willing to make a distinction until more information is available. A little advice – if you are a moderate you need to do a little bit more than say I am a moderate; you folks have very few runs on the board to be taken seriously at the present time. As for “precious allies” from the muslim world, as far as I interpret the situation they are nice to have but not necessary – at the present time a muslim ally is also a potential liability. Assuming you are a muslim the ball is in your court. What happens from now depends very much on you – and do not make the mistake of thinking that muslim rhetoric or allah will help when the wall falls. As for threats – yes – had a few – and I also know the way many of these folks think – under this perspective what you wrote could be interpreted as a threat – so – a little adice – be a little more careful in what you write. However, if you are one of the good guys (and Sheik seems to concur) then an apology and nice to meet you.
