Dr. Hena Zaki applied for a job at a North Texas medical clinic and says officials told her she couldn’t wear her traditional headscarf.
CAIR told CareNow to 1) offer the Muslim applicant a position for which she is qualified and to allow her to wear her Islamic head scarf, 2) provide the applicant with a formal written apology, 3) clarify CareNow’s policy on religious accommodation issues and allow a religious exemption to the“no-hat” policy, 4) institute workplace sensitivity and diversity training for staff, and 5) compensate the Muslim applicant for the emotional distress she has suffered as a result of the discrimination.
DALLAS — A suburban Dallas medical clinic has apologized to a Muslim doctor for telling her during a job interview that she would not be allowed to wear her headscarf while at work.
Dr. Hena Zaki of Plano said Friday that she was shocked when officials at CareNow, which operates 22 clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, told her in person and later by e-mail that a no-hat policy extended to her hijab.
Zaki had been on a tour of a CareNow clinic in Allen, Texas, two weeks ago when she said the regional medical director told her he didn’t want her to be surprised about the policy during orientation.
“He interrupted the interview and said he didn’t want me to take this the wrong way,” Zaki said. “Like an FYI.”
Zaki demanded an apology and a change in CareNow’s policies to accommodate expressions of religious belief — “whether it be a turban or facial hair
.”
On Friday, CareNow President Tim Miller told the Associated Press: “I would apologize for any misunderstanding, definitely … but I don’t really feel like there is anything that we did that is wrong and our policy is wrong.”
The next day, as reported by MyFoxDallas/Fort Worth, Miller wrote in a statement:
“We apologize to Dr. Zaki for the misunderstanding. We will clarify our policy, and will continue our ongoing sensitivity training.”
“Care Now has made religious accommodations for employees in the past,” he said, adding that the company is interested in “sitting down with Dr. Zaki and discussing a job.”
CareNow says it does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin when making employment decisions. The Civil RightsAct requires companies to make accommodations for employees’ religious beliefs.

Rules , which apply to all except … ARE discriminatory. Muslim only wash rooms are Jim-Crow-like discriminatory. But that’s what CAIR wants and appears to be getting; as long as we discriminate against non-muslims and not against muslims, CAIR is happy.
Does America really want another civil war, civil riots, anti-slavery marches, all that AGAIN? That’s were you are heading. Every time a white(muslim) gets something a black(non-muslim) is denied – you are closer to reintroducing what you got rid of at great cost.
Note: Many religions require women to cover their hair in church, mosques, synagogues etc. NONE (not even Islam) require it at work.

Yes, gsw. She does. Few care to remember the infamous bayonet charge made on the third day of Gettysburg (Pickets’ Charge), not the bloody angle at Shiloh, or the cornfields at Antietam. Fewer still have even bothered to learn about the savage battle of Franklin, Tennessee, where point-blank musket fire with bayonet and saber thrusts through the gaps in the log wall redoubt caused a day of ultimate horror.
Yes gsw, we are now a nation full of idiots, poor students of History, and psychotic youth. Fortunately, thousand and thousands of good Americans have served in the military, and many are quite well trained with assault rifles, machine guns, infantry tactics, and urban combat. Once unleashed, every thug and traitor had better run for the nearest coastline and swim away for his life.

A FRAUD buster who hatched a plan to hide thousands of pounds of fraudulent benefits being claimed by his partner has been jailed.
Mohammed Aslam, 38, concocted an elaborate string of deceptions in his role as an investigator for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to try to hide more than £31,000 being squirreled by his wife Afshan Ishaq.
Aslam, of Bassingham Road, Wembley (Now where have we seen Wembley recently?), even went to the lengths of interviewing Ishaq while pretending to not know her, to conceal the fact she was falsely claiming income support, housing benefits, and council tax deductions under the guise of being a destitute single mother.
At Harrow Crown Court today, Aslam, who worked for the DWP since 2000, was jailed for two years and three months for wilful misconduct in a public office, money laundering, and three counts of perverting the course of justice.
Ishaq, 37, now of Barn Way, Wembley, was given a six month prison term suspended for two years and ordered to carry out 180 hours of community service for three counts of benefit fraud.
Infiltration at it’s very finest, these two have been caught, but how many others have slipped under the radar! The financial jihad is alive and well in London…. get someone into the system, and the whole thing is compromised…. oh well, you live and learn, unless you’re a labour politician, in which case you try to understand why they did it, and in many cases allow them to get away with it…… because of “institutional racism” or some other bogus cause!!!
