Following are excerpts from a sermon delivered by Egyptian cleric Mahmoud Al-Masri, which aired on Al-Nas TV on August 10, 2009.
Mahmoud Al-Masri: My dear brothers, we want to repent, and we want to take by the hand those people who have not yet repented. We should feel pity for them. By Allah, we should not be tough with them. These people are sick. They are sinners. We should feel pity for them, we should care for them. We should act like doctors who care for the sick. You should care for them and feel great pity for them, and seek any ingenious way to make a person repent.
I’d like to tell you a very nice story. Once there was a Muslim who lived next to a Jew. The Muslim saw in the Jew a measure of goodheartedness – however small – and he wanted to find any way to make him convert to Islam. So he went to him and asked: “Don’t you feel the need for Islam? Why don’t you become a Muslim?” The Jew said: “The only thing preventing me from becoming a Muslim is that I love drinking alcohol. I would have become a Muslim ages ago, but the only thing stopping me is that I am an alcoholic.”
The Muslim devised a plan. He said: “No problem – become a Muslim, and continue to drink.” The Muslim didn’t meant this, of course, but he said to him: “Become a Muslim, and continue to drink.” The Jews said: “Fine.” He said: “I proclaim that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.” The Muslim said to him: “Now you have become a Muslim. If you drink alcohol, we will carry out the punishment for drinking alcohol on you, and if you renounce Islam, we will kill you.” So the man remained a Muslim and never drank alcohol again. This was a nice trick by this good Muslim.

Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way...
But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it. If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted.
Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth,
(we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it!
One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for
trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display.
But you won't be back, trust me on that.
Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

No surprises here, then, because one would convert to this austere lifestyle willingly. It looks like even bigger misery when you factor in apostasty. Who ever has been killed in the past for going off a lifestyle?

When I first seen this on MEMRI last week, I was amazed by the immam way of describing how one can deceive a jew just by lying to them then threatning them by death… It was unbeleivable…. Another passed in MEMRI last week making the assertion that even animals hate jews. I think it was the same guy on TV.. but I am not sure.
The question that I have is why are these nut heads alloted time and a mediam on TV. This is a Egyptian TV program. Egypt is always and wrongly depicted as a bastion of islamic moderation and fighting islamic extremism … then why allow these immams to make absurd and hateful claims about other poeple beliefs and boosting their despicable self-righteous ignorance…What is it to them other people beliefs? … The secular rulers of Egypt are in the same vein as these igorant immams, they come from the same culture of self-hatred and religious dogma … The corrupt rulers fear being ousted by these religious fanatics, that’s why they allow them all the freedom of religious garbage speech they can muster… It is sickening…..

Nice reply – I guess akhtar’s library is not quite up to scratch. I am sorry to say that my family also know of a few women who married muslim men and were then treated liked slaves (yes Akhter – muslim males are often pigs). While most managed to escape not all were able to do so. There are a significant number of these women who simply disappear. Where is an open question. I guess akhter forgot about those poor forgotten souls, victims of the cruel joke that is islam.
