Think about Muslims with nuclear weapons in the ME. Isn't it obvious that eventually those weapons will be used? A nuclear war of any magnitude will dry up oil exports out of the ME leading to a world wide super depression and the mass starvation of billions. This worst case scenario is becoming more probable by the day. It looks now to be inevitable. The "hard bargain" involves settling most of the "refugees" in Oz in time for Christmas (which will probably "upset their sensibilities") and making it easier for Sri Lankans to migrate to Oz without the need to come with "people smugglers".
