[Mark Steyn] The Corner

The real enemy — in the sense of the most important enemy — isn’t a bunch of flea-bitten jihadis sitting in a cave somewhere. It’s Western civilization’s craziness. We are setting our hair on fire and putting it out with a hammer.

For the purposes of argument, let’s accept the media’s insistence that Major Hasan is a lone crazy.

So who’s nuttier?

The guy who gives a lecture to other military doctors in which he says non-Muslims should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats?

Or the guys who say “Hey, let’s have this fellow counsel our traumatized veterans and then promote him to major and put him on a Homeland Security panel?

Or the Army Chief of Staff who thinks the priority should be to celebrate diversity, even unto death?

Or the Secretary of Homeland Security who warns that the principal threat we face now is an outbreak of Islamophobia?

Or the president who says we cannot “fully know” why Major Hasan did what he did, so why trouble ourselves any further?

Or the columnist who, when a man hands out copies of the Koran before gunning down his victims while yelling “Allahu akbar,” says you’re racist if you bring up his religion?

Or his media colleagues who put Americans in the same position as East Germans twenty years ago of having to get hold of a foreign newspaper to find out what’s going on?

General Casey has a point: An army that lets you check either the “home team” or “enemy” box according to taste is certainly diverse. But the logic in the remarks of Secretary Napolitano and others is that the real problem is that most Americans are knuckledragging bigots just waiting to go bananas. As Melanie Phillips wrote in her book Londonistan:

Minority-rights doctrine has produced a moral inversion, in which those doing wrong are excused if they belong to a ‘victim’ group, while those at the receiving end of their behaviour are blamed simply because they belong to the ‘oppressive’ majority.

To the injury of November 5, we add the insults of American officialdom and their poodle media. In a nutshell:

The real enemy — in the sense of the most important enemy — isn’t a bunch of flea-bitten jihadis sitting in a cave somewhere. It’s Western civilization’s craziness. We are setting our hair on fire and putting it out with a hammer.

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

Major Muslim’s Calling Card: “SoA”, “Soldier of Allah”

Hasan was not really part of the US military but a soldier of allah. That he managed to evade detection becuse of our stupidiity, is really not his fault.

That he chose to attack soldiers on the way to Iraq or Afghanistan, is merely a soldier doing his duty to attack the logistic side of the enemy. That there is blame to go round in bucketfulls, is notr much in doubt, but I can not blame Hasan.

Afghan war is bad for security, voters say
Independent poll casts doubt on key justification for Britain’s involvement in conflict

By Kim Sengupta in Kabul and Nigel Morris

The majority of British people reject the main justification offered by the Government for keeping troops in Afghanistan; a new opinion poll for The Independent shows today. Four out of five of those questioned do not believe that British involvement in the conflict, with its rising toll of casualties, is keeping the streets of Britain safe from terrorist attacks.
There is no contradiction in our efforts in Afghanistan and keeping the terrorists at bay over here.

1. The first point to make is that if Afghanistan is left to fester as a terrorist safe haven, then there will be more attacks on the West, planned from there.

2. Our whole effort therefore is to take the principles of liberal democracy and tolerance to both countries.

3. It is these principles whose application in the UK and the West, that allow ethnic and religious minorities, particularly Islamic ideology and practice, to function in Britain without hindrance.

4. Why should Muslims in the West, demand tolerance for themselves and their cultures, which for many are barbaric, while opposing that same effort directed to a country such as Afghanistan?

If Britain and the West cannot extend the principles of liberalism and tolerance to Muslim countries because it offends Muslims in the West, giving Muslims justification to execute terrorist plots from within, then such Muslims are really not friendly citizens but enemy aliens – they are the enemies of liberty, freedom for women, and tolerance of all. As it is impossible to distinguish a terrorist from a non-terrorist Muslim, the entire Muslim community’s loyalty and allegiance is then open to question.

It is obvious that even Muslim living in the West, and recipient to all the freedoms that we have, without which they would not be tolerated here, are virulently against those same principles made available to those in Afghanistan. “Major” Hasan is very much a case in point.

We must therefore redouble our efforts to take the light of freedom, democracy, and freedom for women, and tolerance for all, to all Muslim countries. We did not ask for this responsibility, but it was thrust on us that fateful September day in 2001.

Our media…our politicians, our leftist PC/MC morons who know nothing about the ideology and they’ve got their heads so deep in the sand they can’t be bothered to pull them out long enough to see the light. We’re truly doomed!

Somebody has left the door open at the insane assylum.
