If Turkey cannot save itself from “radical Islam”, which, according to current PM Tayyip Erdogan, doesn’t even exist, what business is it of ours? We have seen how welcome our aid was in Somalia (Blackhawk Down) and we know how welcome our efforts are in Iraq and Afghanistan. If Turkey cannot save itself, what business is it of ours to save it?
Turkish government fears a Wilders visit, opinion leaders welcome chance for debate

Thanks to Islamization Watch/cross-posted in Moe’s Jihad News
- “Normally, the army belongs in the barracks. But I will make an exception for Turkey,” Wilders wrote. “The Turkish army is the greatest defender of Kemal Ataturk’s legacy, the man who compared Islam with a rotting corpse. Without the corrective influence of the army, Turkey would already be a second Iran.”
Is this Islamophobia or what?
- “Wilders solution is wrong,” says Turkish columnist Leyla Tavşanoğlu, “It is precisely because of these fears that we should admit Turkey into the European Union. Or we will lose this country to radical Islam and Europe will have a second Iran at its border. Surely that’s not what he wants.”
A strange statement. Turkey cannot save itself from nonexistent ‘radical Islam’- so demand is made on infidels to save it from itself. A bizarre, fantastic situation….
Is Turkey a bum deal? Shouldn’t we have a better reason than — if accession is not forthcoming – Turkey joins with Iran. We are basing an awful lot on the assumption that – by allowing Turkey entry – the EU and possibly the US will gain more control over which countries Turkey chooses to ally with. Yet while the accession talks continue today – Turkey makes overtures towards Iran.
By allowing Turkey “Anschluss” to the Eurabian superstate, are we not also allowing more Islam into the EU? And who wants that?
In one of Erdogan’s latest statements – he is reported to have said – no Muslim can perpetrate a genocide.
If this was business rather than politics – leaders would not hesitate to call it as it is.
The Turkish government fears a visit by Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders will have negative consequences for its relations with the Netherlands and Europe. But both secular and religious Turks say they welcome a debate with him.
The spokesperson for the ministry of foreign affairs in Ankara wants to make one thing perfectly clear. “The decision whether or not Geert Wilders will be allowed to enter in January and who he will talk to has yet to be made. It is up to the prime minister to publicly disclose it.”
But will explain the “philosophy of Turkish foreign policy” which is: “We feel the ideas of Geert Wilders are racist and unacceptable. (Islam is not a race. We don’t care and neither should we, about what Turkey finds “unacceptable/ed) That is why no one here is eager to roll out the red carpet for him, and neither are many other European capitals. The media attention for his coming to Turkey will overshadow all other members of the delegation and jeopardise the excellent relations we have with the Netherlands. We have to draw the line somewhere.”
The statement by the foreign ministry has already enticed media attention to the visit planned for next year, although less so in Turkey than in the Netherlands. Turkish daily Aksam on Tuesday broke the news of the ministry’s worries about the forthcoming visit of Dutch members of parliament including Geert Wilders, but the controversy got little attention in other Turkish media.

It took Ataturk to bring Turkey kicking and screaming into the 20th century.
He was forward thinking and deeply ashamed of the backwardness and superstitions thinking related to the medieval ideology of islam -he very wisely abolished the Caliphate,
Ataturk never compared Islam with a “rotten corpse”. Perhaps he was not very religous, yet he was a smart politician who woul not compare the beliefs of his constituency to a “rotten corpse.” Many European leaders nowadays are acting like idiots. The World is changing. The decision to exclude Turkey from Europe will be a big mistake.
Afaresis,
Excluding Turkey from Europe may or may not be a mistake, but until you put the islamists down (ie kill or destroy them) there is no other option. Ataturk also wished for a secular state, which is not what the current Turkish government is working for.
Why is it a mistake, Afaresis?

[What, no Mecca?]
‘Ataturk never compared Islam with a “rotten corpse”.’ [taqiyya]
‘…..Many European leaders nowadays are acting like idiots. [I agree because they are blind to your danger for the moment] The World is
changing. [Only to you] The decision to exclude Turkey from Europe will be a big mistake.’ [Bullying again. Europe is waking up to your tactics]
Dubai’s debt failure exposes global Islam’s ‘house-of-cards’.
No money, no jihad. No Islam.
And it was not due to the Jews. You all need to accept responsibility for your development decisions in the Emirates.
Here is a link that says it all from the Saudi’s lips not Westerners:-

Afaresis…Yes European leaders are stupid. Stupid to think that they could import vast numbers of your death cult to our lands and we would not notice. I mean this well and with a peaceful outcome in mind but be aware patience for muslim antics in my land [UK] is fast running out and you do not have the numbers to cope when it does. If when arriving here your co religionists had abandoned rape honor killing and bombing us then this tolerance would have continued. I fraternally suggest to encourage your brothers to adapt to our culture or go home. The alternative is ugly.
