A navy patrol boat has gone to the aid of a vessel carrying 29 suspected asylum seekers and a crew of two about 150 nautical miles southwest of the Ashmore Islands… It is the 48th asylum seeker vessel to arrive in Australian waters this year.
“Gone to the aid”?
So I look up once more the Immigration Department’s on-line statistics:
Wow. The red dot I’ve added marks when Rudd announced he was about to weaken our laws against boat people. Draw your own conclusions.
UPDATE
A boat carrying asylum seekers has been intercepted in Australian waters – the second in the past 24 hours. The Federal Government says 22 people and four crew were on board.
Thank Rudd for his foolish miscalculation.

It is patently clear- Australia is a human rights violator. Report to the UN.
What isn’t pointed out much is that immigrants on-the-hoof trying to get into new countries are young guys chancing it – not many women and children are involved. Look on broadcasts/bulletins all young guys crossing several countries.
They supposed to go the next safe country along :(
