It is on the condition of minority Hindus in Indian controlled Kashmir that I am looking for answers. Why on earth should 300,000 of them fled the country of their birth to go and live in refugee camps. Perhaps she could also answer why at partition in 1947 the Hindu population of Bangladesh was 30%, reduced to 22% because of emigration back to India at independence, but now is only 10% of the population. She could also answer why a million Hindus living in Bangladesh at the time of the break-up with Pakistan (1971) chose to give all their land and possessions to their Muslim neighbours and club themselves, their wives and children to death. She could perhaps answer why the Hindu population of Pakistan has gone from 10% at partition the the 1.6% it is now.
