It would indeed be confronting – almost a challenge – to have your city streets taken over by an imported faith in such an exclusionary way, especially when traffic regulation is left to that faith’s marshals:
So I’m not surprised that some Parisien locals have now written to their President demanding the return of their streets. Nor am I surprised that this debate is getting ugly, much as I regret it.

In France, the Socialists are boycotting the debate:
The French oppose mosques rather than just rocket-launchers (minarets)
More than 40 per cent opposed building any mosques, compared with only 19 per cent in favour.
France has 64 mosques with minarets but only seven are deemed to be full height, according to Brice Hortefeux, the Interior Minister.
The opposition Socialists and much of the wider Left are boycotting the debate.
Mr Sarkozy’s unabashed campaign is also causing disquiet among some MPs in his Union for a Popular Movement (UMP). There was widespread disapproval last week when a UMP official, Andre Valentin, a mayor in a northern village, gave offensive endorsement to the debate.
“It is time we reacted because we are going to be eaten alive,” he said on television. “There are already 10 million of them, 10 million who are getting paid to do nothing.

Obama mum on arrests of American Muslims in Pakistan, praises “Muslim-American community”
In Oslo to pick up his Nobel Peace Prize for Nothing, Obama praises the advances Muslims in America have made since 9/11. And it’s true: since 9/11 Muslims in this country have made great strides. They have suffered no widespread “backlash,” despite constant media handwringing over the prospect, no discrimination. Americans should be proud of that.
At the same time, American Muslim advocacy groups have been extraordinarily successful in portraying any discussion of the texts and teachings that Islamic jihadists use to justify violence and supremacism, and to make recruits among peaceful Muslims, as “bigoted” and “hateful.” This has hamstrung anti-terror efforts, as it has forestalled any thorough examination of the jihad doctrine and ideology by law enforcement officials, and has led them to take many who are not on our side as allies — including some of those same American Muslim advocacy groups.

(NECN: Oslo, Norway) – Appearing in Oslo after meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, President Barack Obama declined comment on the arrests of five Americans in Pakistan over possible terrorism links.
What he did offer, though, was praise for the contributions of the U.S. Muslim community.
“What has been remarkable over the course of the last eight, nine years since 9/11 is the degree to which America has reaffirmed the extraordinary contributions of the Muslim-American community and how they’ve been woven into the fabric of our nation in a seamless fashion,” the president said.
The five Americans were arrested Wednesday at a house in Sargodha city linked to banned militant organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, Pakistani officers said. On Thursday, Pakistani police said the Americans told investigators they came to the country to take part in “jihad,” or holy war.
President Obama cautioned it is important to keep in one’s mind the availability of “some of these twisted ideologies” on the internet….

Because we Western people are the mostest, bestest, tolerantest, welcomingest,kindest and helpfullest to the point of naivet. However, when we find [after many instances] that it has being misused, we put a stop to it politely, firmly, slowly and finally. They do not know what hits them.
Historians say that the Crusades were unsuccessful. I do not think so.
A brief overview of the last 1,400 years would show that not to be the case. Please tell me where they have remained in any Western country?
They have made many attempts, granted, because they are brainwashed into thinking they are doing it for Allah [Arab Royal Family], but tell me where they have made lasting inroads. I bet you cannot.

unfortunately they did make lasting inroads in Albania, Bulgaria and just recently with Clinton’s help they could establish themselves in Bosnia, Herzegovina and Kosovo. The Turks also occupy northern Cyprus for 30 years now and have destroyed all the churches, etc, they have no intention of leaving. Unless they are forced out they will expand their territory. The example of Lebanon is especially horrific, where the demographic jihad has made it almost impossible for the remaining Christians to exist in the future. Pakistan and Bangladesh only seceded from India to establish the grand jihad against India, and then you have Africa and other parts of Asia where the jihad-insurgency rages relentlessly. The folly is, that we see all this as separate conflicts, which they are not. It is, of course, a grand jihad to eliminate the unbelievers and to make the world Islamic….
Shiek, I hold a long, long term view.
It pained me to read that list, but it does not daunt me. Let’s establish a beachhead of Warrior Jewry, Christians and others in Australia, whose method is words not wars, to push back this monstrosity.

Other times, they insist that they cannot “pray” except in dedicated mosques, “prayer” rooms with wudu washers (in work places, universities, airport terminals, taxi ranks), & there’s plenty of dhimmies to fawn & fund them.
