Dogs are, of course, unclean in Islam. But what a coincidence, eh? If the dogs are called off, someone carrying a bomb — say, I don’t know, maybe an Islamic jihadist, might just be able to slip through. Surely the modern, moderate Shawket Hassan wouldn’t want to see that happen, now, would he?

Muslims object to sniffer dogs:
Specially trained bomb-sniffing dogs might soon be patrolling Metro Vancouver’s buses and SkyTrains just in time for the Olympics, but that has some Muslims concerned.
The Metro Vancouver Transit Police Service is in the process of selecting the handlers and dogs that will be part of the two-year pilot project, said deputy chief George Beattie.
Once the teams are trained, the dogs will work on the entire transit system, including buses, SkyTrains and SeaBus ferries.
But the idea of being sniffed up and down by a slobbery pooch — no matter how well trained — has already raised concerns among some members of Metro Vancouver’s Muslim community.
Some devout Muslims consider dogs to be unclean animals and try to avoid any contact with them. Some Muslim cab drivers in Vancouver have even refused to take guide dogs in their vehicles and will call for a second vehicle to take the fare instead.
Shawket Hassan, the vice-president of the B.C. Muslim Association, says he wants to make sure the dogs will not touch passengers during searches, which could lead to problems, particularly for Muslims heading to a mosque to pray.
“If they touch the body, then there is a probability they will leave some saliva on the clothes,” said Hassan.
“If I am going to the mosque and pray, or doing something that way, and I have this saliva on my body … I have to go and change or clean,” said Hassan.
He pointed out that devout Muslims pray five times a day, no matter where they are.
Hassan said he wants to work with the transit police to develop guidelines that would keep the dogs at least 30 centimetres away from passengers.
But Hassan stressed that Muslims have respect for all animals, including dogs, and they have no objections to using the dogs for security.
“This is a step we would support, but … we would like to be informed,” he said.

Again it is a case of whilst in Rome, do as the Romans do. Something that muslims never seemed to have learned.
If a muslim refuses to accept our laws deport it – or kill it – I don’t care much either way – but get rid of it.
Any why the F. should muslims be inform,ed on the nature of security measures that are necessary mostly because of muslim behavior.

There needs to be a clarifiction on Islamic doctrine by some Imam. Are Muslims against being sniffed by dogs i.e., male dogs, but are willing to be sniffed by bitches?
On such pivotol issues, hangs the survival of the West.

Dogs and muslims is a wonderful combination, I sometimes take my dog for a walk by the river thames, but in order to do this I need to walk her through the town centre. Several times there has been muslims from the local mosque handing out flyers or standing at a table doing dawa propaganda. My usual response is to walk directly towards them with her, or let her sniff around their tables. Occasionaly, being an exciteable (and extremely friendly and cute) young dog she jumps at them. The reactions range from the hysterical right through to proper mohammedan foaming at the mouth!

In Britain we’ve already been made to make our police dogs wear little booties, so as not to offend muslims, seems Canada is going the same dhimmified way! It seems islam has successfully managed to portray itself as the cult of the terminally victimised, while being the eternal aggressor. Seems like most people are suckers for a sob story, idiots!
A simple solution – All Muslims please leave Canada now. Then Canada and the civilized world can enjoy a terror free winter Olympics as we did in Calgary 88.
Canadians on the other hand much prefer the company of dogs, they complain far less, enjoy the hospitality of their hosts and never threaten to bite the hand that feeds them.

CO2 is extremly beneficial to plant life here on this spaceship and without it we would all die. With an abundance of it we will have a lush green planet. CO2 is not what causes Global Warming!
