A new group has been launched in Melbourne last Thursday, called the Benenson Society.

It is named after Peter Benenson, the original founder of Amnesty International. As Amnesty’s current executive has broadened its philosophy, in April 2007, from saving political prisoners to accepting abortion [go figure that-feminists again] Christian and non-Christian communities planned and developed the Benenson’s Society.
