Amsterdam: Why headscarves and not crosses

Christian tram driver in Amsterdam  sued his employers, GVB, in order to be able to wear a cross on a chain.  The driver, Ezzat Aziz, said that just as Muslim employees are allowed to wear a headscarf as part of their uniform (with the company’s logo), he should be allowed to wear his cross.  A judge rejected the driver’s claim, saying that the company is allowed to ban all necklaces.  More>>

First request for muezzin

Following similar requests in Germany and Belgium, a Swedish mosque is now talking about broadcasting a call to prayer. There are already mosques in Europe with a muezzin call: most only for Friday afternoon prayers, though some do have a muezzin call five times a day. Though the sudden flurry of stories about mosques making such requests might be due to increased media attention, it does seem like it’s a trend, a sort of Muslim response to the minaret ban referendum.

“Civilized People” Demand Jiziya from Danish Citizens

Jiyza Demands in Copenhagen – “If you fail to comply, and we will find out, we will have to initiate the next step, which will be disabling a family member. Second step, if necessary, will be more fatal”

For those living in a cave, jiyza is the tax imposed by Muslims on non-muslims living in Islamic societies. I thought all the welfare and foreign aid was jiyza enough. Apparently not  enough.

From the point of view of the Muslim rulers, jizya was a material proof of the non-Muslims’ acceptance of subjection to the state and its laws, “just as for the inhabitants it was a concrete continuation of the taxes paid to earlier regimes.”^[6]

The irony is this jiyza demand (with explicit death threat) is from a suburb of Copenhagen. Copenhagen, host to the giant global summit on the “world’s greatest threat to mankind” – the weather).

“The time for talk is over” - so said Obama today at the biggest science and political hoax in human history, in what wold be the greatest redistribution of wealth to one continent and one religion (Africa and Islam).

No mention of the global jihad threat whose objective is a universal caliphate living under the imposition of sharia law.

The following letter of intimidation and demands for Jitzya appeared yesterday Dec 16 2009 in Jyllandsposten Danmark.

This letter is dated Dec 3rd 2009 and was mailed to all families of Gentofte.

,,For some time we have kept you under our scope. You are blessed with a lovely family and we hope you appreciate this fortune of live, nothing is static. We apologize for the poorly chosen time of approach (Your holy month), and will respectfully keep a distance whilst you and your family enjoys your RR.

Our lives may sometimes turn down a road we didn´t foresee, on some occasions we can change this course, on others we can´t.

Your live is about to take such a turn, and it is up to you if you want to get back on track, entirely up to you, we might add!

In our country, we are so familiar to changes, radical changes, so we know what we are talking about. Your part of the world have exploited us for centuries (not you personally though), so in all fairness it would be appropriate if you lend a helping hand.

For some reason we can´t get your government to take appropriate course of action, hence this solution.

We are civilized people, although you may think otherwise, but in order to be taken seriously, we have to stand by our terms and statements. For this purpose, we have hired ,,local contractors#, surprisingly easy in Denmark, who will carry out the more uncivilized part, let´s hope it doesn´t come to that.

In short we request you to deliver 215.000,- Danish Kroner ( can be converted into USD or Pound Sterling), details will follow later on. We will give you 6 weeks from today´s date. The amount will not break you financially, we know, and we never use the same beneficial twice.

Obviously there are certain rules, simple ones.
