Edgar Allan Poe meets Islamic family values.
Obviously, not a problem for Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Turkey’s emissary to the OIC, or for his boss, Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan, Â for whom “Islamophobia is a crime against humanity”
Pamela is enraged, and rightly so:
Where is the outrage against Islamic culture? Where is the rebuke of the Organization of Islamic Conference and their quisling organization, Alliance of Civilizations?
Where are the pathetic excuses who call themselves “feminists” in the West? Why haven’t they staged marches on the mall? Where is Naomi Wolf, who enjoys all of the riches of Western civilization, while waxing poetic about the burka?
I am going to throw up.
Despite all the the scientific progress and technological and advancement, man is as he ever was, barbaric and violent. Today, voices are only raised against the good – the United States, Israel, Australia, Marshall islands, Honduras, ………………. and Geert Wilders.
Obama says, respect it!
A 16-year-old girl was buried alive by relatives in southeastern Turkey in a gruesome honor killing carried out because she reportedly befriended boys, the Anatolia news agency reported Thursday.
Acting on a tip, police discovered the body of the girl, identified only as M.M., in a sitting position with her hands tied, in a 2-meter-deep hole dug under a chicken pen outside her house in Kahta, a town in the southeastern province of Adıyaman, the news agency reported.
The body was found in December, around 40 days after M.M. went missing. She is being identified by her initials because she was under the age of 18. Her father and grandfather are suspected in the murder.
A subsequent postmortem examination revealed that M.M. had a significant amount of soil in her lungs and stomach, indicating that she was buried alive and conscious, forensic experts told the news agency. “The autopsy result is blood-curdling. According to our findings, the girl – who had no bruises on her body and no sign of narcotics or poison in her blood – was alive and fully conscious when she was buried,” one anonymous expert said.
The girl’s father and grandfather have been formally arrested and jailed pending trial over her killing, according to the agency. The father is reported to have said in his testimony that the family was unhappy that M.M. had male friends.
The girl was reported as missing and no clues about her disappearance were found for 40 days. Her mother was arrested along with the father, Ayhan, and grandfather, Memi, but later released. The two men were sent to prison by a local court and did not speak in the court.
Police had found the body of the girl using an anonymous tip saying that M.M. had been killed based on a decision by a family council and buried under the chicken pen, daily Milliyet reported. The family has nine children, including the girl, and was reported to have told neighbors that she was missing. The girl had made a complaint to police about her grandfather two months before she went missing, saying that he beat her because she talked to boys.
Family councils consist of family elders; honor killings are usually decided by such groups.
Omer Suhani can’t connect the dots between Islam and honor killings:
Spencer cites to two Islamic texts to argue that Islam sanctions honor killings. He references the 12th century Shafi’i legal manual Umdat al-Salik, more commonly known as The Reliance of the Traveler, where it says, “retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right.” However, “not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2).
Spencer also references a hadith from Sahih Muslim, one of the two great Sunni hadith collections, where it says the following:
“The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used not to kill the children, so thou shouldst not kill them unless you could know what Khadir had known about the child he killed, or you could distinguish between a child who would grow up to be a believer (and a child who would grow up to be a non-believer), so that you killed the (prospective) non-believer and left the (prospective) believer aside.”
– Sahih Muslim Book 019, Number 4457.
Spencer advises, “Until the Islamic roots of the practice are discussed openly and human rights groups begin calling for reform, honor killings will continue in the Islamic world – and in Muslim communities in the West.”
Spencer’s assumption about honor killings is based on the idea that honor killings have Islamic roots and that he has shown us some of these roots via the references he cites above from The Reliance andSahih Muslim. Spencer has long been able to cite jihadists who quote the Qur’an and hadith of the Prophet Muhammad to justify their violence, but in the case of honor killings the situation does not provide him with honor killers quoting the Qur’an or sunnah of the Prophet to validate their actions.
Spencer’s two references, after careful examination, fail to prove his point.
Of course there is more:
Muslim scholars and Muslim imams all said the same thing, “that was not Islam. In Islam we are forbidden to kill women and children.” And that is true, there are Hadith which state that women and children are not to be killed. However, there are other Hadiths in which they’re getting ready to attack a tribe and the reason they’re attacking is these people are kafirs, they had done nothing wrong. They decided to attack at night and they asked Mohammed what if they made a mistake in the dark and wound up killing women and children and Mohammed said, “they are from them.”
Well now we have a contradiction. We have Mohammed saying– do not kill women and children and we have Mohammed saying kill them, they are from them. This is dualism. We have contradictory facts, but both of them are true. The Jihadists can choose whichever they want and what did the Jihadists in Beslan do, they chose to kill the children. Why? They are from them. That is, they are kafirs.
