AT least  they say that they reject Awlaqi’s invitations to jihad with him, for now. Obviously, Muslims in America don’t have the numbers, not yet, to go on jihad. That might change:
American Muslim groups small and large have condemned a radical American-born imam’s call for holy war against the U.S.
Anwar al-Awlaki, who is thought to be in Yemen, said in a 10-plus-minute audio recording released Wednesday that Muslims should wage jihad upon America because of the invasion of Iraq and “continued U.S. aggression upon Muslims.”  More>>
Jihad as American as apple pie
So Says Anwar Al-Awlaqi, U.S. Born Cleric
Al-Awlaqi, an American born cleric who has been cited as an influence on several of the September 11thhijackers, and more recently attemptedChristmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and army base killerMajor Nidal Hasan, made these comments in an unauthenticated message that was released on Friday according to SITE Intelligence Group:
“Jihad is becoming as American as apple pie and as British as afternoon tea,”
“Eight years after 9/11 and the declaration of war against terrorism, jihad is still reaching the shores of Europe and America. Not from the outside, but from within. Jihad is not being imported but is being homegrown,”
“The US has spent billions to protect its airlines but they couldn’t preventUmar Farouk, and the West has been profiling until ‘Jihad Jane‘ shattered whatever trust was left in the value of profiling,”
“A blond, blue-eyed, small framed, middle-aged female. It couldn’t get any further from your typical ‘terrorist’ profile.”
These statements point out the fact that while our national security remains compromised in many quarters, President Obama, the nations Commander in Chief, continues to place all of his focus on health care legislation, while seemingly ignoring all other issues.
Indeed, there has been a sharp uptick in jihad activity by Muslims in the U.S. and U.S-born Muslims since Barack Obama has become President, although some law-enforcement officials seem determined not to notice. And in this they are aided and abetted by American Muslim advocacy groups.
