Nigeria: after making much slaughter in the land, Muslim leader declares Islam a 'Religion of Peace' – Jews & Christians commit acts of terror on a daily basis…

Officials estimate that 500 people were massacred in night-time raids by rampaging Muslim gangs near the city of Jos, where the Christian-Muslim fault line cuts across Nigeria.

John Onaiyekan, archbishop of the capital, Abuja, told Vatican Radio the violence was rooted not in religion but in social, economic and tribal differences.

Here is the full text of the interview with the archbishop:

Two verses from the mohammedan playbook of terror come to mind:

This one from the  Qur’an’s “Spoils of War” sura:

It was not you who killed them, but Allah who killed them by your hands.

And this one from the hadith:

Ishaq:327 “Allah said, ‘A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.'”

Typical projection, displacement of responsibility and Tu Quoque.  And of course, it was perfectly justified retribution for  something…. “Nigeria: Don’t Tag All Muslims As Terrorists – Sultan,” from the Ahlul Bayt News Agency, March 10 (thanks to JW):

Lagos — The Sultan of Sokoto and President, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Alhaji Saad Abubakar has said it is not right to generalise the entire Muslims as terrorists whenever an individual among them does something wrong. Sultan Abubakar, who spoke in Lagos at a fund raiser for the Najah Joint Muslim Organizations (NAJOMO) mosque at the weekend, said rather than accuse all Muslims of terrorism, the acts of the United States and its agents should as well be examined.

* But, but Obama, Holder & all those agents of Islam, aren’t they doing that already?

More from JW:

From the RoP:

He alleged that violent acts being perpetrated all over the world were being carried out by non-Muslims, including American citizens and agents of the American government. According to him, many Christians and Jews perpetrate terror acts on a daily basis but they are not tagged terrorists by the US and the media.

“Our dear brother, the Baba Addini of Egba Land (Adegbite) was correct when he said Muslims are not terrorists and that Islam is a religion of peace. Let me add here that some people somewhere are known for their lies against Islam and Muslims. Violent acts are perpetrated all over the world by adherents of different faiths and not only Muslims commit them.

Let me say here that it is unfair to Muslims and Islam for the US government to rush, as it used to do, to tag Muslims as terrorists whenever they commit any violent act. It is sad that if an adherent of any other religion commit any terror act the US and the media would not call such a person a terrorist, the US and the media must change this.

“I make bold to say that if we should put all violent acts being perpetrated all over the world by Americans and the ones Muslims commit on a scale, we would surely see that those being committed by the US citizens outweigh those they claim Muslims committed. But as Muslims we should try to change this negative attitude they have towards us. We can change this by showing them the beauty of our religion”, he said.

Hey, might as well start now!

  1. It took Alhaji Saad Abubakar five paragraphs to justify why mozzies commit acts of violence, when in fact he could have summed it up in this one sentence: “Man, we are a violent breed.”

  2. The full transcript of the interview of Archbishop Ignatius A. Kaigama of the Archdiocese of Jos to ACN News is clear about the causes. Particularly question 2.

Nigeria: Radical Islam and the challenge of dialogue

“The religion isn’t the problem but the ignorance!

An interview with the Archbishop Ignatius A. Kaigama of the Archdiocese of Jos.

    1. Thank you, Dhumme.

Unfortunately the archbishop seems to be the one who is ignorant here.
He fantasizes about the imaginary good old days (before jihad came along, but the jihad was never dormant, it was never defanged, never neutered) and he is full of “interfaith” and “dialogue” this and that.

Knowing however, that the real Islam doesn’t tolerate, (replace that with “cannot coexist’) with any other religion, (Islam must be dominant and not be dominated) the bishop becomes a traitor to his flock and an ignorant fool when he blames the Christians, especially when the Muslims just killed 500 (Christians, not the other way around)

      This is quite telling:

I believe it’s a feeling that one religion must be greater than the other. There is this propaganda of both Islam and Christianity; every religion wants to control, more or less, the whole system and therefore there is that competition, and when the Sharia, for instance, was introduced recently, the Christians felt threatened and since the introduction of the Sharia in its present form, there has been great tension, there has been an uneasy relationship and this has erupted into violence sometimes. These are testimonies to the fact that there have been a lot of religious crises in Nigeria and most of these have occurred in the north. And since the introduction of Sharia these crises seem to come again and again.

The bishop seems unaware that the ultimate goal of Islam is always the sharia. This statement makes it clear that he is ignorant.

  3. Hello Shiek,

Yes, I share your thoughts on this too. I have already started to broach this point with them. I am frustrated at just their strongly worded responses. I was expecting strong action, sooner. It is starting to happen. I think everyone is afraid of how enormously bad the situation has become so quickly. Dialogue is always a key instrument to minimise misunderstandings. However, I strongly believe strong action SHOULD have happened sooner, rather than just the mere reporting of the carnage.
I was aware months ago that the Pope has been informed immediately as developments occured. I think that they were unprepared for the seemingly global nature of it.

I am doing my little bit, too.

  4. Dhumme Dhimmi,
I dont believe that dialogue is an option with these people. We need mass deportations etc etc
