UK Protest rallies: "EDL members have something of a ‘Jihad Watch’ approach to Islam. Muslims are right to resent and fear their activities…"

Once again, the enlightened  progressives from “Harry’s Place” feel sorry for their Mohammedan overlords:

Weyman Bennett Charged With Conspiracy To Commit Violent Disorder, Jihad Watch Gets The Blame….

UPDATE: UAF Leader Weyman Bennet among those who were arrested. He’s also reported to have said at a Gaza demonstration in London ““Smash capitalism, smash Israel” and demanding that Israeli Jews “should go back to where they came from … New York or wherever.” Tundra Tabloids
Weyman Bennett, the UAF joint secretary who organised the protest, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder, police said.

Weyman Bennett Charged With Conspiracy To Commit Violent Disorder

Sample:

Unite Against Fascism advertised this event as a confrontation between their supporters and the EDL. The slogan, “No Passaran” does not inevitably mean a physical confrontation, but its association with military struggle, and in particular the Siege of Madrid, does tend to promise a bit of a ruck.

The EDL should be confronted. It is right to show solidarity with British Muslims against these hoodlums.

As a result, Weyman Bennett not only gets the chance to play the martyr, but runs the real risk that he will be imprisoned. I feel sorry for him, and hope that – if the Crown Prosecution Service proceeds against him – it is on the basis of very strong evidence that he was actively involved in concrete and detailed plans to commit violent disorder: and not merely on the grounds that he was a little bit mouthy.

Back to the real world:

“It’s just the latest in a long line of annoying PC-related nonsense that we keep getting shoved down our throats”: U.K. police get another list of things they can’t say or do

Curiously, the new regulations also make officers’ behavior more closely aligned with Sharia norms of gender interaction and interpersonal contact. “Police officers banned from asking for ‘Christian’ names,” by Richard Edwards for the Telegraph via JW

  1. There is not so much point commenting on this here – go directly to Harrys Place and give your say there – the vast majority of comments that I have read , while not supporting the EDL, plainly state that the UAF are the ones responsible for the violence. Lets hope Bennet rots in Jail for a decade or so.
