Bus Ads Up, South Park Down

MAJOR VICTORY FOR FREE SPEECH AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM: SIOA BUS ADS ARE GOING BACK UP

Today we are one down:

Comedy Central submits to Islamic intimidation — now South Park cannot even say the word “Muhammad”

BLEEPS ADDED

Tim Blair

An episode of “South Park” that continued a story line involving the Prophet Muhammad was shown Wednesday night on Comedy Central with audio bleeps and image blocks reading “CENSORED” after a Muslim group warned the show’s creators that they could face violence for depicting that holy Islamic prophet.

Except that they didn’t. Holy Mo the Unseeable, paws be upon him, was safely hidden inside a bear suit:

So now you get threatened if you don’t show images of Muhammad. These pesky Presbies keep changing the rules! The solution is bleeps….

Courage is a commodity sorely lacking by Comedy Central. They certainly didn’t care if they offended Jews or Christians. Their lack of backbone is what’s offensive.

But hey, why would the progressives from Comedy Central wanna be heroes when even Fox’s blowhard in chief (Bill O’Reilly) openly claims  “The risk [of free speech] is higher than the reward???”

This is why Islamic supremacists issue threats and practice intimidation in the first place: because it works. These Hollywood dhimmis are only making sure that this sort of thing will happen again. an update on this story, and a Free Speech Death Watch Alert: “‘Muhammad’ now a dirty word on ‘South Park,’” from The Hollywood Reporter, April 22 (thanks to Pamela Geller) via JW:

Now “South Park” can’t even say the words “Prophet Muhammad.”

After last week’s episode of the Comedy Central series sparked a threat (and yes, it was certainly a threat) from a radical Islamic website, the network has cracked-down-for-their-own-good on creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone during last night’s continuation of the show’s storyline.

For those who missed the drama, the show’s 200th episode last week mocked the one “celebrity” that the series has been largely unable to depict, the Prophet Muhammad, who was hidden from view in a bear costume. A U.S.-based website RevolutionMuslim.com then warned Parker and Stone they could end up like Theo Van Gogh (the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by Muslim extremists after depicting Muhammad on his show) and even posted the address of the show’s production office. The site has since been shut down.

Last night, “South Park” continued the controversial Muhammad storyline, but with a key difference: every instance of the words “Prophet Muhammad” was bleeped out, making the episode practically incomprehensible, especially to anybody who missed the previous week.

The character of Muhammad was once again also hidden from view, covered by a large block labeled “censored.”

A Comedy Central spokesperson confirmed it was the network’s decision to bleep the words….
These cowards are not singular. The collapse of Western will and courage is all around us.

Pamela has much more. Read it all.

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

I watched this episode yesterday, and at the end of the episode, Kyle, the little Jewish kid says his usual “You see, I learned something today”, which traditionally means a little moral of the story speech is on the way. Only not this time, instead we were disappointed with about a minute or two of constant beeps as Kyle spoke.

Seeing as the episode was basically about celebrities trying to steal mohammed’s “power to avoid ridicule”, and once they succeeded in stealing the power but remained the subject of mockery, I should imagine the speech contained many references to mohammed not having any other power, other than that his followers are crazed, violent maniacs who threaten/attack/murder all who dare to insult islam and also the laws created solely to remove any criticism of islam.

There may well have also been a few swipes at the cowardly comedy central, as Matt and Trey have done in the past when the channel has interfered in the production or broadcasting of the show.

Anyway, now that I have that off my chest, I just want to wish all my fellow Winds of Jihad readers a Happy St Georges Day!
