Perth: Islamic college leaders guilty of fraud

Update:

The coffee-filter should be screwed or nailed to his head. That would be a far more appropriate punishment.

Most Islamic “private” schools are nothing but fraud as they charge their student less than standard public school fees and exist only because of the Australian taxpayer forced jiziya.

The injustice! The humiliation! How dare these filthy kafirs apply man made law to the sons of allah who only helped themselves to what they are entitled to! If that doesn’t call for jihad, I don’t know what will!

KATE CAMPBELL, The West Australian

Two Islamic college leaders were this afternoon found guilty of fraudulently claiming millions of dollars from the State and Federal governments to help get the school out of financial trouble.

A District Court jury convicted Australian Islamic College founder Abdallah Saad Magar of 14 out of 15 fraud charges. Principal Aziz Magdi was found guilty of five out of nine fraud charges. A third man, another principal, Mark Brian Debowski, was acquitted of his three fraud charges.

During the three-week trial, the prosecution told the jury that Magar was the “driving force” behind the fraud from 2005 to 2006. The prosecution also told the jury the fraud involved inflating student numbers at the college’s three campuses at Dianella, Kewdale and Thornlie in order to obtain extra money in government subsidies and that Magdi and Mr Debowski had knowingly signed off on the claim forms.

The court was told the money was not used for personal gain, but rather went into the college because many of its students were not paying fees. Prosecutor Paul Yovich said during the trial that the college claimed government money for students who never went to the college or had left to go to another school or move overseas.

He said the trial was not about religion in any way.

The three men were charged in June 2008 following a police raid on the college’s campuses and headquarters in January 2007.

After the verdicts were handed down today, Mr Yovich said he would be seeking a significant term of imprisonment for Magar.

Magar and Magdi were released on bail and will be sentenced on April 27.

Neil Waldron comments on Islam Monitor:

Yep, they are all “good” muslims, running a “good” muslim school, running it under “good” islamic codes of conduct, mohummad was the “best” of all muslims and is the “best” example of conduct by muslims, but it has absolutly nothing to do with islam. PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK, they were following islamic principals and teachings, it has EVERYTHING to do with islam.

Only when these animals turn up at parlament house armed to the teeth and take over by shooting all the dhimmie polies will people finally sit up and take notice, but by then it will be too late.1

  1. They should lock this scum up and throw away the key. These filthy bastards came to Australia only to take advantage of the system. How dare the West Australian government give this satanic cult permission to have an islamic school. This islamic school is obviously nothing more than a training ground for jihadists. Shoot all these bastards and the world will be a better place.

  2. Huddie, you go too far.

Shystar17, you are just as bad.

The jury – the representation of the wider society – has obviously been given evidence to hear, look at and discuss. They’ve deliberated. They’ve given a verdict.

The two college leaders were found guilty. GUILTY! They will never again in their lifetimes find respect from the Islamic community or the Australian society.

They will most probably go to jail. Can’t you see that no freedom at all is the worst punishment? Caged like a dog. No choices to make, only rules to follow.

Shouldn’t that teach them a lesson, (huh, like the pun?). Hopefully.

Guilty means what? Guilty in the eyes of the kuffar? That means nothing to them. “Respect from the Islamic community?” Why should they lose that respect, if they stole money from the kafir to finance the jihad against the kafir overseas?

We don’t know if they will go to jail. If they do, they will do in jail what they do out of jail: prison da’awa. Proselytize, convert convicts to Islam, make demands for prayer rooms, footbaths, halal food etc etc.

Can’t you see that no freedom at all is the worst punishment?

No. Islam is a prison, in or out of jail.

You said it yourself: “No choices to make, only rules to follow.”

  3. I reported this crime to crimestoppers in 2001 after working there for a month. Rubbish school, bent leadership, warped world view.

  4. Sheik,
Your last sentence in your last post says it all. If only people really understood what this means. This is what we need to educate the public about.

  5. To whom it may concern
You need to remove the staff photo that you have blantenly displayed on your website. many of those teachers have moved onto other teaching positions. By displaying this staff photo, you are illegally sharing information with others, which can hinder and cause irepairable damage to the persons concerned. You can also be sued for displaying the staff photo with accompanied comments, as certain people will automatically link the staff with the charges against the directors of the three campuses.

  6. This is utter rubbish. I was a student at that school myself and therefore, I know for a fact that you are all mother fucking twisted douche bags. Mr Magar paid out of his own pockets for the poor. He paid families who could not afford to educate their children. He paid for all children whose parents could not pay for an islamic upbringing. Shame on all those who judge.
