Saudi Arabia Gives Israel Clear Skies to Attack Iranian Nuke Sites

Pinch me! Am I dreaming?

The Times of London

LONDON — Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defenses to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Times of London reported Saturday.

In the week that the U.N. Security Council imposed a new round of sanctions on Tehran, defense sources in the Gulf say that Riyadh has agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran. To ensure the Israeli bombers pass without hindrance, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defense systems not activated. Once the Israelis are through, the kingdom’s air defenses will return to full alert.

“The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way,” said a U.S. defense source in the area. “They have already done tests to make sure their own jets aren’t scrambled and no one gets shot down. This has all been done with the agreement of the [U.S.] State Department.”

Sources in Saudi Arabia say it is common knowledge within defense circles in the kingdom that an arrangement is in place if Israel decides to launch the raid. Despite the tension between the two governments, they share a mutual loathing of the regime in Tehran and a common fear of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. “We all know this. We will let them [the Israelis] through and see nothing,” said one.

The four main targets for any raid on Iran would be the uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz and Qom, the gas storage development at Isfahan and the heavy-water reactor at Arak. Secondary targets include the lightwater reactor at Bushehr, which could produce weapons-grade plutonium when complete.

  1. ‘Ahmadinejad Calls U.N. Sanctions ‘Worthless Paper’’

Most Americans agree with Ahmadinejad with that statement.

  2. I am not sure I like the scenario of a first strike.
It will bring the wrath of Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and every Hamas and Hezbollah attacker down upon Israel.

    Should we trust this logic?
    I am not so sure.

If Israel does take the offer then I support them and may God go with them.
I just believe there is a devious undercurrent flowing in Wahhabism that Israel should be cautious of.
Face it! The Saudis hate the Israelis as well as any other Muslim nation.
    Call it a gut feeling.

  3. I think I just figured out why the Saudis have given Israel the green light…They don’t want the living shit blown out of the kaaba.
Israel was actually thinking of doing this at one time and I am sure if they were attacked first they would do it.

Now, since the Wahhabis have said “Go ahead and bomb them” Israel has to back off the greatest bombing of all”. Too bad! I really wanted the “Big Box” blown to smitherines.

  4. The schism between Shia and Sunni goes right back to the time of Muhammed. Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons thus poses a great threat to the Saudis. I dont think they are fooled by Iran’s claims.

So it will be once again, that kaffirs come to the rescue of the Saudis. Will they be grateful – hell they will. They will go back instantly to their usual anti-Jewish hatred as prescribed by the Koran.

No- far better at the moment for Israel to sit tight, and let the Arabs, via Obama, come to Israel. Israel should not get the Arab chestnuts out of the fire, and then find itself stabbed in the back by Obama and the Arabs.

Well thats my view. I’m sure there are other thoughts.

  5. Its worth remembering that the Sunni Arabs have always regarded Shia Iran as an existential threat. It is for this reason that they were willing to support a secular Iraq to the hilt in the ten year Iran-Iraq war.

  6. DP111,
The Arabs have to overcome a lot of inertia to side with Israel against Iran. This will not happen quickly: Obama is just a second rate shyster who does not have the influence or power to change the relevant time scales. The bottom line is that we are running out of time – better to send the mullahs of iran to oblivion now, destroy their revolutionary guard, and let the Iranian people take back their country. In any case, given arab psychology, it is unlikely that pacts between Israel and any arab country against Iran would be honored by the arabs. Arabs can only respect “strength”, and by continually not forcing Iran to accept international standards the West has made itself look weak: the arabs will not side with the West and Israel.
