There is no music in Islam….

“Information is not knowledge, knowledge is not wisdom, wisdom is not truth, truth is not beauty, beauty is not love, love is not music, and music is THE BEST.”

Frank Zappa Quote of the Day

Because Music is un-Islamic

Why? Hadith Qudsi 19:5: “The Prophet said that Allah commanded him to destroy all the musical instruments, idols, crosses and all the trappings of ignorance.”

The Hadith Qudsi, or holy Hadith, are those in which Muhammad transmits the words of Allah, although those words are not in the Qur’an.   More here>>

Muslim pupils taken out of music lessons ‘because Islam forbids playing an instrument

Tim Ross, London Evening Standard

Hundreds of pupils have been removed from state school music classes despite the subject forming part of the statutory National Curriculum.

Parents have no automatic right to withdraw their children from subjects such as music, although legal exemptions exist for religious and sex education.

However, in one London primary school about 20 pupils were removed from rehearsals for a Christmas musical and one five-year-old girl remains permanently withdrawn from mainstream music classes.

The details, which emerged after a BBC investigation, provoked concerns from Ofsted and education experts. Some Muslims believe that playing musical instruments is forbidden in the same way that alcohol is banned. More>>>

  1. My guess is that allah is particularly fearful of trumpets:

“And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet: and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world of our Lord and of his Christ is come, and he shall reign to the ages of ages.” (Revelation 11:15)

  2. Music classes un-islamic!!! More evidence that there is no room for creativity or individual expression in islam – why are these idiots even allowed in our countries??

  3. * why are these idiots even allowed in our countries??

To destroy our nations from within.

  4. They certainly dont go against music in Turkey. They have eight different types of music. Tarcan is one of the biggest start and had a famous Kiss, Kiss. He is a sensational entertainer and now lives in Paris I think. I have been to opera in Aspendos and musical programs exist there as well as a very popular Turkey’s Got Talent type show. Also they have their version of Top Forty. Probably the European influence is stronger than the Arabic which is about destruction and violence. Desert dwellers seem to suffer this madness.

  5. What about Cat Stevens, I mean Yusuf Islam?? He still playing his music instrument in his song concert???

  6. Yes of course. There are individual Moslems, who, to quote Churchill, “display splendid qualities”, that is not because of Islam, but in spite of it.

I myself have worked with Turkish and Indonesian musicians in the seventies. All had great talent, skills, innovation and professional attitude.

However: Islam is a work in progress.

Over time, “the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.”
