Moonbat Tony BLiar Promotes Islam in Beijing with Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustafa Ceric

From the Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report:

Bosnian Grand Mufti Speaks Guest Of Tony Blair Foundation In Beijing

File photo from a meeting back in 2007 when BLiar hosted a breakfast meeting with distinguished scholars and religious  Islamic leaders.

BLiar: I ask people in the country and wider to listen to them. They are the authentic voices of Islam,” he said.   “The voices of extremism are no more representative of Islam than the use in times gone by of torture to force conversion to Christianity represented the teachings of Christ.”  (Al Beep)

Many people believe BLiar is an intelligent man. In that case we must assume that he knows with whom he associates:

Mustafa Ceric makes no bones about the fact that Muslims must obey shariah law. “The Islamic convenant, the shari’ah, is perpetual, it is not negotiable and it is not terminable,” he writes. According to him, “a European Muslim imamate” should be established “as a way of institutionalising Islam in Europe”. (By ‘imamate’ he means the application of shariah law in practice.) (source)

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation has announced that Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustafa Ceric was one of the speakers invited to the 2010 Beijing Forum. According to the report:

Tony Blair delivered the keynote speech on Sunday at the 2010 Beijing Forum, marking the partnership between Peking University and the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation co-sponsored, with Yale University, one of the key themes of the 2010 Beijing Forum, on “Faith and Responsibilities: Spiritual Reflections on Global Issues”. Amongst the speakers invited to the Foundation’s panel were His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Bosnia, Mustafa Ceric; Professor Miroslav Volf of Yale University; Professor Arvind Sharma of McGill University; Professor Monica Toft of Harvard University; and Professor Anantand Rambachan, a member of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation’s Religious Advisory Council….This summer Peking University joined the Tony Blair Faith Foundation’s Faith and Globalisation Initiative which builds partnerships with leading universities on every continent to develop a deeper understanding of the inter-relationship between faith and globalisation. The Initiative aims to help emerging leaders understand how faith can motivate and impact new trends in the modern world and highlights the implications through research and publications. Founding partners of the Foundation’s Faith and Globalisation Initiative are Yale University in the USA, National University of Singapore (NUS), McGill University in Canada, Durham University in the UK, Technologico de Monterrey University in Mexico, the University of Western Australia (UWA), and Peking University in China.

Considered by some to be a leading “liberal” Islamic leader, Mustafa Ceric is tied to the global Muslim Brotherhood through his membership in the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), headed by Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi and by his participation in the U.K.-based “Radical Middle Way” consisting of a wide range of associated scholars representing the global Muslim Brotherhood. Several earlier posts have discussed Dr. Ceric’s increasing visibility and importance within the global Muslim Brotherhood, noting that Ceric sees himself as a possible future leader of a “European Islam.” Dr. Ceric recently compared the Iranian Revolution with the French Revolution and Iranian media reported that Dr. Ceric recently told former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in a meeting that he considers Iran a “good friend” of his country.” A post from October 2009 discussed his visit to the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), an important part of the U.S. and global Muslim Brotherhood.

Mustafa Ceric openly declared his desire for sharia and the worldwide caliphate. For  the Fabian Socialist BLiar to call this headbanger a “moderate” is quite telling.

  1. BLiar has made himself a promoter of Islam in Europe.

Blair consults Muslim leaders at Cambridge University conference on Islam

It’s unlikely that any good will come of this. From Associated Press of Pakistan, with thanks to JW:

LONDON, June 1 (APP): British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to meet Muslim leaders from all over the world at a major conference on Islam, hosted by University of Cambridge next week. The June 4 and 5 event, aims to explore ways in which greater unity and understanding might be fostered between Muslims and non-Muslims in the societies in which they live. Representatives from more than 30 countries will be attending, said a media release of the Cambridge University….
That is, they want to foster greater unity and understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims in the West. They will almost certainly not discuss the plight of non-Muslims in Muslim countries, although it is getting worse all the time.

The conference is being organized by The Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme (CIP), based in the University’s Faculty of Divinity. CIP is a teaching and research programme that seeks to achieve a deeper understanding of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. It also aims to develop public outreach programmes for the benefit of faith communities and wider society.
The event will open with a video message from HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales, while the Chancellor, Gordon Brown, will host a reception in the evening.

Other speakers will include the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Shaykh Ali Gomaa; the Grand Mufti of Bosnia, Mufti Mustafa Ceric; Mona Siddiqui, Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Glasgow; the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres; the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Ruth Kelly and the Leader of the Conservative Party, David Cameron.

About Ali Gomaa, see here. Mustafa Ceric has repeated the misleading fiction that “the Muslims and Jews have contributed to European development [as much] as Christians did”; while he is right that the Jews made an immense contribution to European culture, historically Muslims have contributed to Europe the way the fox contributes to the henhouse. About Cameron, see here. About Ruth Kelly, see here.

Professor David Ford, Director of the Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme, said:
“There is an urgent need for Islam and traditionally Christian cultures to understand one another specifically from a religious perspective.

“The conference will focus on the relationship between Islam and the non-Muslim world, inviting Muslims from this country and abroad to discuss the challenges we all face in creating communities that can accommodate and thrive on the religious diversity that exists in Britain, Europe and beyond.

“In the past, policy has too often focused on the question of integrating Muslims into secular society. In fact we live in a complexly religious and secular society where the expression of religious beliefs remains important to huge numbers of people.”

So forget about getting Muslims to integrate — at least until they start rioting as in France. Then the government will be blamed for not integrating them.

Speakers and guests will be encouraged to consider the contribution Islamic debate has made to a host of contemporary topics including citizenship, the place of Islamic law, women and human rights.
What does this mean? What contribution has “Islamic debate” made to questions of “citizenship, the place of Islamic law, women and human rights,” except to threaten the rights of women and non-Muslims, as well as the very concept of citizenship itself? How does Islamic law make any contribution to Britain except as the goal of those who would destroy British civilization once and for all?

Timothy Winter, lecturer in Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge, said:
“The question facing British society, and society as a whole, is not how we encourage minorities to engage with western countries, but how those countries define themselves as a collage of different religious cultures. We hope that this conference will enable those responsible for encouraging and building unity in communities to approach the task from that perspective.

Once again we hear that Britain has no culture of its own, but is a clearinghouse, or here a “collage,” of different cultures. And indeed, if Britain has no culture of its own that any British leader thinks is worth defending in itself, it certainly will lose the vestiges of what it does have.

“If we are to overcome the problems of religious ignorance and misunderstanding, we need to have precisely these sorts of conversations and collaborations across religious and secular boundaries.”

  2. ‘Halal food movement can lead Muslims to rule world economy’

    Amanullah Khan

Bosnian Mufti Mustafa Ceric wants to rule world economy with halal foods

Karachi —Halal food movement has the strength to lead Muslims to rule the global economy as the food is the basic need of every human being, said Dr. Mustufa Ceric Grand Mufti Bosnia and Herzegovina while addressing the delegates of global Halal Congress at Islamic Chambers of Commerce and Industry here today.

Global Halal Congress scheduled on December 4 in Karachi which is being attended by delegates from 17 countries can be a break through for Pakistani exporters as the congress has the agenda of institutionalize the Halal certification and standardization of Halal products in Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is also the Grand Mufti of Sanjak, Croatia and Slovenia said that people of his country love Pakistan and hold this in a high esteem on its role during ethnic cleansing and insurgency. Their love for Pakistan is reflected in the fact that mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina made collections as a relief fund for the flood hit people in Pakistan. The amount collected was the biggest in the history of Bosnia he disclosed. The grand Mufti who declined to quantify the collection said that it was submitted to the authorities when arrived Pakistan this morning. Elaborating his point of view regarding potential of global Halal market, the grand mufti said that since food is the basic need of every human being the Muslim Ummah should focus on developing strong base of food production which he said would left other technologies used by the West as a source of economic prosperity.

Commenting on the state of Muslim Ummah, the grand mufti remarked that out of the total refugees in the world over 70 percents are Muslims rendered shelter less due disturbances sparked in their homelands yet the irony is that the Muslims are labeled as the terrorists. Mufti Saheb in a lighter mood said something very serious that Muslims of the world love each other yet they do not respect each other which is the major cause of unity and strength among themselves.

    Some comments:

    Good on him!

Does this mean that muslims will start growing their own food and not relying on kafirs to supply them? Being a parasitic ideology, they deserve themselves.

A dreadful article…what I got out of this was that because 70% of the worlds refugees are muslims then muslims should not be labeled as terrorists. What a load of garbage that is.
