Bomb attack hits Paki police in Karachi
KARACHI â€” A bomb ripped through a police investigation building in Pakistan’s biggest city of Karachi late Thursday, wounding more than 25 people, a senior police official said.
“More than 25 people have been wounded. Most of the injured are policemen,” senior police official Tariq Razzaq Dharejo told AFP. “It was a bomb blast,” he said. (AFP)
KARACHI, Pakistan â€” Suspected militants detonated a car bomb in the heart of Pakistan’s largest city on Thursday, destroying a police investigation bureau and killing at least 10 people, police and witnesses said.
The explosion rocked a high-security area of Karachi that is home to the U.S Consulate, two luxury hotels and the offices of government leaders, showing the reach of Islamist militants in the city despite efforts to crack down on them. (Source)
