Entitlement Brigades Riot Over Funding Cuts
ROME — Students protesting state university budget cuts clashed Tuesday with riot police who used tear gas and police vans to seal off much of Rome’s historic center to stop the demonstrators from reaching Parliament.
Premier Silvio Berlusconi brushed off the protests, saying “serious” students were home studying. He defended the reforms as necessary to modernize education in Italy.
Similar protests snarled other cities, including Milan, Turin, Naples, Venice, Palermo and Bari. In Genoa, students protested under the slogan “they block our future, we block the cities.” (Associated Press)

The general strike was in response to proposed government spending cuts. Portugal has subsidized its Euro-welfare lifestyle by borrowing. The government claims its national debt is 86% of GDP, but the Portuguese opposition party says the true figure is actually 122%. And that’s just the government. Private debt is 239% of GDP.

Looks like trespassing & smashing windows, burning large piles of stuff & throwing sticks at police is tolerated (by the police) in Britain, but not burning a small koran on private property & sharing it on a mobile…

The EU plan to integrate Africa within the EU could be looked as neo-colonialism, or it simply international socialism hankering after world government.
