Scott Ritter: Pervert for Peace?

Pedophiles are not only victims of child sexuality, they are also targets and useful tools for our enemies. Too funny that it took Wikileaks to expose the facts:

We should never forget that, when a case is dismissed, what the law says is that, by dismissing the case, it brings with it the presumption of innocence. And by sealing the file, it’s designed to prevent the stigma attached with any unsubstantiated allegations from arising. So, as far as I’m concerned, as far as everyone should be concerned, this is a dead issue.

And it might have been, except that since 2001 Ritter was arrested again for online kid-perving. Now his earlier record is unsealed:

A Pennsylvania judge ruled last week that two Colonie case files involving Ritter be unsealed so they can be used as evidence against him at his upcoming trial.

In the spring of 2001, Colonie police say Ritter twice showed up for meetings with what he believed would be teenage girls. The first time, Ritter was questioned but let go by police who had been posing as a curious 14-year-old girl.

Two months later, Ritter turned up at a fast-food restaurant, where police said they had set up a sexual meeting while posing as a 15-year-old girl. Ritter was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a minor. Despite his national prominence, Ritter’s arrest was not publicly announced.

His latest violation, which occurred in 2009, could send Ritter to the big house:

Ritter’s charges in Pennsylvania are more serious. He is free on $25,000 bail and charged with five felonies, including unlawful contact with a minor, which carries a potential prison sentence of up to seven years.

Some of those charges were subsequently dismissed, leaving Ritter facing only a charge of “unlawful contact with a minor.” The pervert’s trial begins on March 8. Lately, Ritter has been amusing himself by defending Julian Assange:

Sure. The government forced him to repeatedly chat up underage girls. Enjoy jail, Scott.

Former chief United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter was arrested in a Pennsylvania sex sting in November on a litany of charges involving a lewd Internet conversation with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

Ritter, 47, allegedly masturbated in front of a Web camera while he was engaged in conversation in an Internet chat room with an undercover cop posing as the teenage girl.

The chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991-98, Ritter is accused of contacting the “girl” while using the handle “delmarm4fun” last February.

Ritter, of Delmar, N.Y., allegedly told the girl, “Emily,” that he was a 44-year-old man from Albany, N.Y., according to an affidavit of probable cause.
