- Strange. When its a Marxist dictator Obama doesn’t have any scruples to back Tyranny over Liberty…… (Remember Zelaya…?)
Hussein Obama tells the Egyptian dictator  Mubarak to get out of the way so that the Muslim Brotherhood can establish the caliphate.
William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, urged the Egyptian government to heed the “legitimate demands of protesters”. Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State, said she was “deeply concerned about the use of force” to quell the protests.
The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change” for the past three years, The Daily Telegraph has learned.
Islam. Only Islam. Nothing else matters: Mohammed El Baradei among the Muslim brothers:
KRudd is not so quick with his condemnation of violence:
Andrew Bolt gets nasty on Australia’s Foreign KRudd:
Being one of the first to criticise the Egyptian regime while Mubarak looks like staying in charge doesn’t fit the two-faced Rudd’s personal agenda.
It was the same in December, when Rudd visited Egypt in December and met Mubarak. He said lots about bad Israel but nothing about Mubarak’s oppression, nothing about the parliamentary elections he’d just rigged andnothing about the freedoms he’d suppressed.
There’s a pattern here. Australian Copts were amazed this month when Rudd failed even to personally protest the suicide bombing in Alexandria of their fellow Christian worshippers, other than have his department issue an impersonal statement:
More than 500 Coptics and their Muslim friends marched on Wednesday in central Sydney, calling on Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd to address the issue, after a bomb blast killed 21 people during a New Year’s Eve Coptic church service in Alexandria, Egypt… An Australian Coptic Movement Association (ACMA) spokeswoman said top politicians have yet to enter the debate over the human rights of Egyptian Coptics.
‘We understand that Mr Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard have not personally issued statements of condemnation,’ said the spokeswoman, who asked not to be named for safety reasons.
Thing is, of course, Rudd needs the votes of African and Muslim autocrats to win the temporary Security Council seat he’s set his heart on – and any UN job that might just be on offer for him. That’s why he was in Ethiopia this week, opening a new embassy in Addis Ababa at the very time Julia Gillard told us she needed to make tough spending cuts and hit us with a flood levy.
