The Night of the Cyclone

by sheikyermami on February 2, 2011

In the next couple of hours North Queensland will be hit by the biggest cyclone ever. We’ll be blogging until the electricity goes….
The emblem of the Muslim Brotherood shows two swords and the  words “make ready”, or “prepare”, based on the Koran:

chapter Al-Anfaal: “….make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery) to threaten the enemy of Allaah and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know but whom Allaah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allaah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjusty.}[8:59-60].

Who gets such crazy ideas? People who believe jihad is inner struggle?

“People picture Muslims with a Quran in one hand and a sword in the other”

“People picture Muslims with a Quran in one hand and a sword in the other,” Naseem Mahdi, vice president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, said.

Michael Ledeen has some eerie – really eerie – parallels between Iran 1979 and Egypt 2011.

Muslim Brotherhood Declares Jihad on America; American Media Declares Muslim Brotherhood “Moderate!

How can you explain it? The leader of the Brotherhood calls for Jihad on America and destroying all US influence in the region and then the media says they are moderates!

Here’s my (satirical) theory: Being against revolutionary Islamists seizing power in any country has now been declared to be Islamophobic. (Barry Rubin)

KRudd Advisor:

This is not a Muslim revolt in Egypt, it’s about basic dignity and rights

Peter Khalil is a former security adviser to the KRudd government and Associate Professor at Sydney University’s Centre for International Security Studies. He was born in Australia after his parents migrated from Egypt and has just returned from visiting family there. Read it and weep>>>

Phyllis Chesler cuts trough the BS with a  paper knife:

Am I the Only One Troubled By Cairo Street Scenes?

For days now, the mainstream and leftstream media have been telling us that the Muslim Brotherhood isnot dangerousnot radically Islamist—but that even if they are Islamist that they are popular amongst the people. Western leftists view the Brothers as engaged in a Hamas-like form of soup kitchen social work/theocratic totalitarianism, but who nevertheless have earned the right to be democratically voted into power by the people.

Short-sightedly, they claim that if we are serious about standing for democracy and the vote, that we have no choice but to support what may turn out to be an even worse tyranny than that of Mubarak’s.

Such journalists also claim that the Egyptian people in the streets are not “political,” that they are impoverished, broken, barefoot warriors who have heroically risen up for jobs, food, and an end to corruption and tyranny. Indeed, the people may not be “political”—but their heroism may end up benefiting those who, unlike themselves, are already organized militarily, economically, and ideologically—like the Muslim Brotherhood.  (Source)

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

Egypt: some perspective – Phyllis Chesler is correct

35% of all Egyptians cannot read
45% of Egyptian women cannot read
90% of Egyptian Muslim women suffer FGM
75% of all FGM procedures are performed by physicians in Egypt
(what does this say about the middle educated class in Egypt)

FGM was banned in Egypt by Muburak gov’t for the 2nd time in 2007!!
Muburak’s wife has been very active in trying to eliminate FGM from traditional Egyptian society/culture.

Egypt is a very poor country (large population: 80+ million) that can no longer feed its people due to increase in global food commodities (wheat).
There is an excellent article by “Spengler” at http://www.atimes.com dated February 1, 2011 for more info (“Food and Failed Arab States”)

STAY SAFE, Sheikyermami!

Stay safe in FNQ folks – do NOT take risks – STAY SAFE. God Bless.

Khalil is an idiot – leave it at that – and the MB is starting to show its ugly side though the UN traitor that allowed Iran access to nuclear material.
