Anne Barnhardt Interview

Vlad Tepes presents:

Andrea King interviews Ann Barnhardt

Ann is excellent here as she is in her now viral youtube video about the burning of the Koran and subsequent riots, but I have to take issue with her admonishment of Western men for lack of action. Overwhelmingly it is men who are fighting Islamic nutbags world wide, and frankly, women fought like hell for decades to emasculate men and reshape the relationship between the sexes. I’m sorry you don’t like the results. But the results you see, are the results you created. You, and women across the western world. Now you better step up to the plate and take your share of the responsibility now that you have taken more than your share of the privilege and wealth.

Ann Barnhardt, Culture Hero

– by  Roger Kimball/Pajamas Media
Even if you don’t do anything else today, please take a moment to look at the second video  that Ann Barnhardt, an intrepid Colorado resident, made a couple of days ago responding to Senator Lindsey Graham’s spineless attack on Terry Jones, the Florida minister who presided over a “trial” and burning of a Koran late last month.

You can find the first part if you click on the link above:

A recap: When publicized and condemned by Afghan President Hamid Karzai and officials in Pakistan last week, Jones’s bonfire provided the occasion for the deadly riots in Afghanistan that (so far) have left a dozen people dead, including UN and NATO personnel. The instant response from the liberal establishment was condemnation — not of the rioters who were, as is their wont, murdering for Allah, but of Terry Jones. As I noted in this space Monday, Islamophiliacs from Time’s Joe Klein to Senators Harry Reid and Lindsey Graham blamed Jones for the rampage. Even General David Petraeus condemned the Koran burning as “hateful, intolerant, extremely disrespectful.” OnFace the Nation, Lindsey Graham said:

I wish we could find some way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war. During World War II you had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy. Any time we can push back  here in American against actions like this that put our troops at risk, we ought to do it.

Sobering, isn’t it, to realize how quickly folks entrusted with upholding the Constitution are willing to dispense with its protections?

I was moderately tart about these latest exhibitions of what I called “preemptive capitulation.” But my response was a veritable valentine compared with Ms. Barnhardt’s eloquent demolition. There are some theatrics in her presentation. She repeatedly calls Graham a “jackass” — a “stupid, stupid jackass” on one occasion.  In part two, she reads various passages from the Koran — those memorable bijoux that advocate the murder of Jews, infidels, and apostates, the rape of women prisoners, pedophilia, and beating of insufficiently  submissive wives, etc.  — and then rips out the offending pages and burns them in a glass fire-bowl. Crowning detail: she has bookmarked the passages with rashers of uncooked bacon. (“Raw bacon,” she explains, “makes the best Koranic bookmark.”)

Ms. Barnhardt describes the reading and burning of the Koran as “the main event.” It is a riveting performance, her declamation and analysis of all those goads to violence and mayhem, followed by the incineration, one leaf after the next, of the dozen or so pages she chose: “Evil, evil garbage, in it goes and up in flames!”

But perhaps even more impressive is Ms. Barnhardt’s  excoriation of Lindsey Graham and his contemptible suggestion that the free speech of American citizens should be curtailed in the face of Islamic intimidation.

Read it again: “I wish we could find some way to hold people accountable,” said this U.S. senator. “Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war. During World War II you had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy. Any time we can push back here in American against actions like this that put our troops at risk, we ought to do it.”

Ms. Barnhardt picks this apart phrase by disgraceful phrase.  “Hold people accountable”? Accountable for what? she asks.

For exercising their Constitutionally protected and divinely ordained right to freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of religion? Hey Jackass, have you not read the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States?

What Lindsey Graham wants to do, she continues, is to “elevate the totalitarian political system masquerading as a religion called Islam to a status which

supersedes and overrides the First Amendment to the Constitution  and thus places it in a position of specially protected   legal superiority wherein criticism of Islam or failure to show proper and sufficient deference and honor for Islamic texts is a crime.  Hey Lindsey, you Jackass, you know what that’s called? It’s called Sharia. What the hell is wrong with you?”

Delicious, no? Ms. Barnhardt then announces that she will burn a Koran in a few minutes and invites Little Lindsey  to have her arrested and dragged before before Congress and held to account. “Do it. Nothing would make me happier. I would relish the opportunity to explain to you how exactly it is that we do things in the United States of America. If you want to pick a fight, Sir, you go right ahead, but understand that if you pick a fight with me the only way it ends is with you sobbing in the men’s room.”

Why can’t we have senators like this?

Ms. Barnhardt then moves on to Little Lindsey’s declaration that “Free speech is a great idea but we’re in a war.”

Point One: free speech is not just a great idea, it is “bedrock principle of Western civilization and the United States.”

Point Two: “Individuals are free sovereign agents. Individuals are not property or drones of the state. The government doesn’t tell the people what to think and say. The people tell the government what to think and say through the mechanisms” of  representative government.

Point three: Intellectual snobbery. Ms. Barnhardt discerns it in Little Lindsey’s remarks. Terry Jones is a redneck Southern preacher with a drawl and a handlebar mustache to match. No fancy Ivy league education. Ergo, he’s not eligible for the same sort of Constitutional  protection that, for example, Little Lindsey and his peers enjoy. “Listen, Jackass, it doesn’t work that way.  The First Amendment applies to all American citizens equally. It does not operate on a sliding scale based upon how expensive an education one received, what one’s income is, or whether or not one is invited to tony soirées in Georgetown.”

Ms. Barnhardt then takes up and demolishes Little Lindsey’s invocation of World War II as a precedent for clamping down on free speech. “Lindsey, you Jackass, the only prohibitions on speech during World War II and all other wars pertained to speech which would give aid and comfort to the enemy, not speech which demoralized, discouraged, or degraded the enemy.” She then enumerates various examples from those World War II posters depicting the Nazis and Japanese as deranged animals to cartoons that “ruthlessly mocked and degraded”  Germans, Italians, and the Japanese. “The informal prohibition during the war was on speech that was defeatist or conciliatory towards  the enemy, which is exactly what you are engaging in, you stupid, stupid, Jackass.”

And so it goes. Little Lindsey wants to “push back” against people like Terry Jones who burn the Koran or otherwise criticize Islam because, he says, it  “puts the troops at risk.” “Push back?” Ms. Barnhardt asks. “Since the free speech in question is by a loyal, law-abiding American citizen  against the sworn enemy of the United States and its Constitution — which is Islam — and you Senator Graham are talking about ‘pushing back’ using the force of the government of the United States, it sure sounds to me like you have decided that the United States  government is allied with Islam against the people of the Untied States who do not show sufficient deference and respect for Islam.”

Oh, and as for putting our troops at risk, “the only thing that is putting our troops at risk at are the suicidal, defeatist rules of engagement which prevent our brave soldiers from actually fighting and defeating the enemy. You hang our boys out on the lines of battle and then refuse to give them ammunition, refuse to allow  to engage the enemy without permission from a flipping attorney, and refuse to allow them to engage ‘civilians’ while fighting a force that is 100 percent comprised of civilians. How dare you accuse us of putting our troops at risk.”

There’s more. Watch both videos.  They are inspirational. Ann Barnhardt opens with the observation that she is “apparently one of the very, very last people left in Western Civilization who possesses any quantity of brains and balls simultaneously.” She is probably right. Thank God for her

  1. “You, and women across the western world. Now you better step up to the plate and take your share of the responsibility now that you have taken more than your share of the privilege and wealth.”

Auch, that sounds very bitter and somewhat untrue! We have not ‘taken more than our share’, we still have less than half – and we have been taking responsibility for our children and families for centuries. Even if one women has upset you, such statements stink of prejudice – and we cannot afford to fight among ourselves.
The enemy would LOVE for all American men to believe that the women-despising way of life practised in the middle east is superior to the equality and stand up for yourself we have here in the west.
Don’t give them ammunition! Encourage women to stand up for themselves – we have not emasculated you at all – we have freed you.
Or do you mean the laws against rape, harassment etc?

  2. Ann Barnhardt is an impressive lady. No mincing, namby-pamby words for her.
Her eloquent denunciation of militant Islam and its Western appeasers such as the clueless Linsey Graham is a thing of beauty.
May we continue to hear from this brave and righteous Foe of Evil Islam!

  3. Apart from all the commentary on Qur’an burning and the fanatical reaction to in in Afghanistan and elsewhere, it should be pointed out that the extremely violent protests and bloodshed that resulted from one preacher burning one Qur’an have only given proof that the claim that Islam is a Religion of Peace is BullSh*t. I keep thinking of that old cold-war assessment about peace-loving communists that said: “Peace to a Communist means the absence of resistance to Communism.” Muslims seem to have adopted this logic by telling everyone, “We will stop killing you when you submit to Islam.”

  4. Ann Barnhardt what a lady, so proud of her,we need more like her in power.
Wake up & Stand up America! WORLD need more like her.
Would love to hear more about her

  5. It’s great to see somebody step up and burn a Quran, that’s if they happen to have one available to burn. In the Internet Age all paper books are retro and obsolete, and need to be recycled anyway, but this one has more juice, eh, why recycle when we can make a statement that we’re free and proud to show it? It’s also great to see a woman standing up against Islam and its world Mafia that is trying to terrorize us into submitting to their cult. If only more people had Qurans, they could organize mass burnings, but alas, that particular piece of butt wipe is fairly scarce in the U.S., which was blessed with being Quran-free for centuries so that it could become #1. Let’s keep it that way by working to get Congress to declare a moratorium on Muslim immigration, besides which all other issues are small potatoes. Maybe the govt. should manufacture 300 million Qurans and give each person one free then set aside a national holiday for burning them, call it Anne Barnhardt Day, God Bless America, we’re still free and didn’t submit to Allah, pass me three hankies.

The truly serious will try to keep up on daily news and op-eds on the Islamic war on us and also work to put in their own remarks to educate the still snoozing public about the resurgent ancient evil. The #1 link concentrator is my free Islam Watch Blog, click it daily and you will always be on top of the situation:

  6. I work in retail (a store one would thought the province of women, but to whom the task of shopping has fallen to the menfolk) and I can attest to the emasculation of men by their womenfolk. Ask them a simple question not addressed on the detailed instruction sheets provided by their respective spouses and these guys have near breakdowns. Their eyes get that panicked deer-in-the-headlight look. I had one guy call his wife no less than four times during a simple transaction for answers to even simpler questions. It’s laughable and a very sad thing to see. I’m a woman and it makes me want to cringe!

So while I agree with some of your sentiments, please let me remind you that it takes two to tango. If you’ll let me walk all over you, I probably will!

  7. I listened to Andrea King’s lengthy interview with Ann yesterday at Kitman’s site. It was very entertaining. I especially found the segment with the guest caller mentioning Obama’s grandfather’s connection to Hitler quite a tease. It’s well documented that grandpa was involved in the mau mau insurrection but there is no documentation of his passing secrets to the Nazis that I could find. Interesting if that is followed up on.
I also found her conversation about danger signs in commodities involving Soros very alarming. I wonder if Beck got wind of that as well?
As a parent, I made note that Ann is single. How can that be? I know she said she was epic’ly strong willed and quite successful on her own, but we need momma bears like her to help build this country’s next generations.

  8. “.. women fought like hell for decades to emasculate men and reshape the relationship between the sexes.”

Oh , pulease, women didn’t fight like hell to emasculate men, they fought like hell to have equal rights and are still waiting for some of them. And the “relationship” between them , lord & master vs servant, needed one hell of a lot of changing. And as I remember males jumped at the chance to divest themselves of their manners and act like barbarians when it came to treating people with respect in public places. And that hasn’t changed much. If a pregnant women needs a seat on a bus it will more than likely be a woman who gives hers up.

All those people who whine about what feminists have done to men need to look at a woman like Ann Barnhardt and see that she was not traumatized or robbed of her strength while living under conditions worse for females than men have had to “endure” .

Time for all you whiny males to grow a pair and become men. You can start by coming to the aid of your country which is being attacked from within or you can continue to lie about on the couch swilling beer & watching sports. Your choice.

And no I’m not condemning all men, you know who you are.

  9. I like her comparison of Islam to the bully at the Faro table in “Tombstone”. Softies in our culture would give it away to these subhumans. Women are fully functioning members of our society and that is how it shall stay. Does anyone think that mosques here are anything but Trojan Horses?

  10. Men may fight Islam, but in the end, women will resist it harder because they have so much more to lose in Islam.

  11. There’s a difference between Islam and “radical” Islam. Every religion has its extremists. Westboro Baptist Church are extremists yet you don’t see anyone condemning Baptists do you? Let me quote something from the Koran

“Oh Allah, teach me to love others just like I love myself, teach me to judge myself just like I judge others. And if I have wronged anyone, give me the courage to apologize, and if anyone wronged me, give me the courage to forgive because you have taught me that forgiveness is the highest level of strength and revenge is the highest level of weakness. And I ask you not to forget me in your forgiveness.”

Now I know you’re going to delete this because I’m sure you probably think I support Islam. I don’t support Islam but I think that our view of the religion has been distorted because of the extremists that exist in that religion.

    1. ‘Common sense’ is not common, that much is true.

Next time you make such a claim, post sura, chapter and verse please.

You have heard of abrogation? Obviously not. Do you know the meaning of kitman & taqiyya?

“There’s a difference between Islam and “radical” Islam. Every religion has its extremists. Westboro Baptist Church are extremists”

Really? Can you sort the “radical” Islamists from the rest for us?

“Every religion has its extremists. Westboro Baptist Church are extremists”

Name the victims. How many people got killed, murdered, raped, bombed or maimed by members of the Westboro Baptist Church?

“Islam is an absurd theology of an immoral Bedouin, a rotting corpse which poisons our lives.” – Kemal Ataturk

Kemal Ataturk, a Muslim, knew the score.
