Egypt: The Muslim Brotherhood Calls The Shots

“Sectarian Violence” leaves Coptic Christians dead

Collective Punishment of Egyptian Christians For Death of Two Muslims:

“Muslims threw my old mother out of the second floor balcony and torched my home,” said Adel Abdulllah to Hazem Refaat of Free Copts advocacy. His business and home were torched and his father and three brothers were arrested on suspicion of killing the two Muslims.

Copt Eid Roshdy, was stabbed during the violence and later died in hospital. (AINA)

Poll: Most Egyptians believe nation’s laws should follow Qur’an

I tried to tell you. “Most Egyptians want Quran as source of laws: Poll,” from AP, April 26 (thanks to JW):

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna, who  promoted the slogan:

Allah is our goal; the Prophet is our guide; the Quran is our constitution; Jihad is our way; and death for the glory of Allah is our greatest ambition.

The Muslim Brotherhood in the west  is an insurgency, defined  as a form of jihad aimed at destroying Western civilization from within and allowing for the victory of Islam over other religions. (source)

Egypt responds to Muslim protests and riots over Christian governor by suspending him for 3 months

An unsurprising update on this story. One prior report did offer the interesting detail that some protests “also included Christians who object to the governor on the basis that Christian leaders often fail to adequately defend their cause because they feel compelled to side with Muslims in sectarian disputes to demonstrate good intentions. They cited the previous Christian governor, who they say was a ‘complete failure,’ according to one priest who joined the protests and asked not to be identified for security reasons.”

Nonetheless, it is clear which group’s demands the government is moving to satisfy. “Christian governor with Mubarak ties suspended,” from Middle East Online, April 25 (thanks to JW riots over Christian governor)

  1. * Poll: Over half of Egypt wants to end the peace with Israel

Egypt isn’t named as an Ezekiel 38 invader of Israel – possibly because God has already taken care of it by that time…

“The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.”
    (Isaiah 19:1)
