The Perfect Day

The Perfect Day for the Jihadists Among Us

By: Dave Grossman, Lt. Col.

I have been told (by those conducting interviews with captured enemy combatants) that when we ask them “What is coming next?” they sometimes refer to the “Perfect Day.” You cannot understand what they are talking about if you do not understand the historical reference.

The Attack of Mutineers, July 30, 1857

The Sepoy Mutiny in India, in 1857, is an example of a Perfect Day. This was a spontaneous uprising by Muslims (and Hindus), with everyone giving the British their “best shot.” Nannies killed the kids, cooks poisoned the food, and shop owners murdered the British ladies as they came into the shop. And soldiers (sometimes complete units) killed their British officers and then used their weapons to attack the British.

The current politically correct term for the Sepoy Mutiny is “The First Indian Rebellion.” (You can look it up on Wikipedia, where the event has been completely PC filtered and revised.)

The First Indian Rebellion is, to them, George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and the Alamo all rolled into one. And 99% of Westerners have never heard about it.

In their dreams and fond imaginations, this is what will happen across all of the “Crusader nations” who are in Afghanistan. Pick a day, and everyone gives it their best shot. If just one in 1,000 of the Islamic people in our nations answer the call to Jihad, it will still be thousands of attackers ... Some will opt for a “John Muhammad/Malvo,” whacking people from the trunks of cars, others for a Virginia Tech lone gun- man in the school. Others will attack school buses, nannies will kill the kids, clerks will kill customers, cooks (in the elementary school?) will poison the Kool-aid, etc., etc.

The enemy thinks big, and we—with wishful thinking compounded by ignorance of their history—keep thinking small.

(Continued below the fold)

Take my word for it, they’re dying to prove it:

A Beslan-style attack on a school in America is almost inevitable, given the toxic cocktail of jihadists that is being brewed up by the current immigration policy.

Los Angeles Deputy Police Chief sees growing threat of Mumbai-style jihad attack

How the hell did these  malevolent cretins get into the US of A?

“For the Los Angeles Police Department, the top priority is countering violent, ideological extremism from several Muslim communities in the region made up of diaspora from Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and elsewhere.” Good thing the U.S. is importing all these people, eh?

“L.A. police use intel networks against terror,” by Bill Gertz in The Washington Times, April 11 (thanks to JW):

The goal of this Perfect Day, in addition to terror, is to make us imprison (intern) our Islamic populations (as we did to the Japanese in WWII), thus making this a “war against Islam” instead of the current war against ter- rorist groups and Islamist fundamentalists.

The idea of the Perfect Day goes way back in their culture. Look at the Book of Esther in the Bible. It takes place in Iran (ancient Persia), where the Jews are in captivity. Haman gets permission to kill all the Jews on a certain day. The whole book is about how they turned that around and killed all of Haman’s people on that day.

This is the terrorists’ dream. Our goal is to prevent it through careful study and understanding of their history and culture, assimilation (the French are an excellent example of what not to do in this area), and—most importantly—deterrence and de- tection, which is what I teach in my classes.

The enemy can be deterred! They fear one thing: They fear failure! They are not afraid to die; some of them want to die. But they desperately do not want to die for nothing! And our goal is to win a battle in the minds of millions of potential terrorists in our nation, who are asking the key questions: Can I succeed? Can I get a body count?

The key question we should ask is, Why don’t they do this to Israel? The answer is
that the terrorists would love to! But Israel is an armed society. The terrorist is largely deterred from this action by Israel’s level of preparation. Until we reach the level of armed citizenry represented by Israel (and the sooner the better!) we are very vulnerable to this kind of attack.

In particular, we can see that states like Illinois and Wisconsin (the only two states with absolutely no concealed carry for anyone, anyhow, ever), or California, Mas- sachusetts, and others (with very stringent and limited concealed-carry laws) are the most likely targets for this kind of attack.

The time may come when, like Israel, we need armed riders on every school bus and armed guards in every school and every day-care center. And the only way that we can do so is, like Israel, to depend on armed citizens and armed teachers to protect their children.

The millions of Americans who are buying guns are not foolish. I would submit that they are doing the one thing that individual citizens can do, and that is to arm themselves.

This is America. When faced with a threat, we don’t take away rights; we give you more rights! But with rights come responsibilities. We give you the right to purchase and carry weapons, and you have the responsibility to train with these weapons!
So, let me conclude with a series of quotes from national leaders who have been in similar circumstances.

“Cogito, ergo armatum sum: I think, therefore I am armed.”

Our forefathers knew that it is not enough to just have a weapon, it is also vital to be trained in the proper use of that weapon.  In 1349, King Edward III of England told the citizens of London that their “skill of shooting” was being neglected, and he proclaimed that “every one of the said city, strong in body, at leisure times on holidays, use in their recreation bow and arrows, or pellets or bolts, and learn and exercise the art of shooting … that they do not, after any manner apply themselves to the throwing of … handball, football, cambuck, or cockfighting, nor suchlike vain plays which have nor profit in them.”

In 1457, King James II of Scotland banned the game of golf from the hills on which it was created.  He argued that golf was a danger to national security as it distracted his soldiers from practicing their archery.
His grandson, James IV, a keen golfer, lifted the ban in 1502.  Eleven years later, in the battle of Flodden against the English, Scotland suffered its worst ever military defeat.
Wall Street Journal, 18 Aug ’09

In 1636 a frustrated General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony unanimously passed an ordinance that said:

Whereas many complaints have been made to this Court, of the greatest neglect of all sorts of people of using the lawful and necessary means for their safety, especially in this time of so great danger from Indians, it is therefore ordered that no person shall travel above one mile from his dwelling without arms; upon pain of twelvepence for every default.

Being unarmed was considered negligent!  Self protection was not just a personal responsibility, it was a duty to the community!  And for over a century after the danger from hostile Indians was eliminated, there was no suggestion that this ordinance be repealed.  A century and a half later, those people were the leaders of the armed rebellion that created the United States!
John Farnum

A strong body makes the mind strong.  As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun.  While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind.
Games played with the ball and others of that nature are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind.  Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.

Thomas Jefferson to his nephew Peter Carr,
August 19, 1785

“Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.”  ~Thomas Jefferson

Teddy Roosevelt said, while he was President, that:  “We should establish shooting galleries in all the large public and military schools, should maintain national target ranges in different parts of the country, and should in every way encourage the formation of [shooting] clubs throughout all parts of the land… It is unfortunately true that the great body of our citizens shoot less and less as time goes on.  To meet this [challenge] we should encourage … practice … by every means in our power.  Thus, and not otherwise, may we be able to assist in preserving the peace of the world.  Fit to hold our own against the strong nations of the earth, our voice for peace will carry to the ends of the earth.  Unprepared and therefore unfit, we must sit dumb and helpless to defend ourselves, protect others, or preserve peace.  The first step — … to avert war if possible, and to be fit for war if it should come — is to teach our men to shoot.”

A golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range!
Col. Jeff Cooper

Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of American, cannot succeed with any lesser effort— John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1961

  1. What are WE going to do ?

We = all of us who are not allowed to own our own guns ?

In Europe most of us are forbidden to possess our own weapons!

  2. That’s easy. If you’re scared, don’t trust the authorities to protect you, worried about the safety of yourself and family and way of life, — break the law. If you can find a way, get a gun, (the criminals do) or as many as you need to feel secure. Don’t let anyone know you have them. You can go to a deserted place in your country to practice handling them. Then be cool. If, as some expect, the Muslims will finally organize the Perfect Day, you’ll be ready, and things will be in so much confusion, they won’t bother to arrest you. As we say in the U.S.A.: it is better to be judged by 12 (the jury) than carried by 6 (the no. of pallbearers needed to carry a coffin). You in Europe let the govt take away your right to self-defense, to preserve your own life. We’ve had riots in the U.S. where, when it was all over, the only people still alive and with homes and businesses were the ones who had guns.

  3. Hi,
You do not have any right being an oppressor to call ‘The First Indian Rebellion’. India has right to right. But it looks like Brits lost their balls in 1857 so they could not fight Islamists who came to your country and preying on your people.

Thanks for warnings others about sudden revolts though!

    1. So my G-d given rights of free speech are now taken away by an Indian who resides in Missouri, USA?

Ever heard of the first amendment? Doesn’t look as if you learned anything about your new country……

  5. I think we are talking about 2 issues, both were organized by 2 separate organizations.

    1) Being an Indian, they deserve to drive the English out, where refusing to work or sabotaging railways etc. – these were organised by the Hindu front primarily from Gandhi. For some reason, this sentiment waves to singapore & malaya.

    2) Revolt in killing etc. – you can figure these out yourself.

I have a better solution, just dont hire muslims.

  6. common guys, Indian is only upset because indians is generalized (where you add hindus with muslims in the same sack),

i presume indian is a hindu else you would be getting death threats,

in fact sheik, it woudnt hurt if you would be more specific. we are on the same side.

and as kaw suggested indian, pls read your history.

  7. Ex Taliban minister busdriver in Norway, expelled

Ex Taliban minister and imam, Abdul Mohammad Rauf, is considered a threat to the kingdom, and to allied interests, and will be expelled from the country, Norway

In 2009 he was also convicted to 120 days in prison for beating his 14 year old daughter, and had threatened to kill her, while swearing on the koran.

  8. Free speech does not mean you can say any crap and make others believe that it is correct. You are wrong on that. Again when someone says to read my history, LOL. Wait for few more years or generations Islamists tells you the same to you and your grand children. Or will there be any history.

    1. I never heard any one you said occupying another country and subjugate it’s people is wrong. So why are you fighting against Islam now? Party and enjoy. Let Muslims do their god sactioned sacred duty to terrorize/occupy your country.
    2. Britishers enslaved/raped/killed millions of Indians for nearly 3centuries.
    3. Wealth: Lets talk about from kohinoor diamnond to billions of dollars worth of gold, dimonds, artifacts stolen from Indian Kings.
    4. History: There is enough details that it takes your whole life time to read the cruelty of Britishers. One simple bit :
5.Karma – No body can escape from it. Since WWII England is sinking to everyday new lows. On the other hand India is raising.
6.The roads and bridges laid out by british are to transfer the wealth and for logistical reasons.

Yes. I am offended. When you add scum with Hindus.

Indeed there are some great Britishers who really did a great philonthropic work. We still admire them : Arther Thomos Cotton, Charles Philip Brow etc.

My point is everyone aware about the history from all sides without political correctness and I agree, there is no point in arguing about past and I totally agree that ISLAM MUST BE ERADICATED LIKE PLAGUE.

    1. Too funny that you can’t come to terms with reality.

As a free man I can chose to educate you. I can also chose to leave you in your delusions.

The Brits have given India a language, a judiciary, an administration, a road system, an education system, a railway system and a whole lot more, perhaps more than India is worth. What have you achieved on your own? Without the Brits India would have long fallen to Islam and ‘Indian’ would be a slave of allah by now.

Obviously, a guy like you wouldn’t know gratitude if it came to bite him in the dick.

But I happen to know India well, and as such I have met many older Indians who honestly assured me that everything was -much better- under British rule.

Again: what has India achieved on its own?

Why are you in the US of A and not in India when things are so great there?

  9. Sheik, thats a low blow man,

you of all should know india achieved more before it was invaded.

its easy to compare events after occupation and post occupation, but india & israel were the only countries that made past that mark in a short span.

you should read where the brits hunted & killed every indian heroes who resisted the rule, they basically removed any credible leadership & without leadership, the country will head downhill.

there were adequate road & currency systems and rich in raw materials, why do you think they invaded india in the first place? to provide admin, education & roads? they want economic power, they cant care less about the natives unless they want them to work for them, thus the low level education system & cheap labor. these are all by products of national logistics. the same thing is happening in iraq and afghanistan, after a few hundred years, you could assume the same.

besides, some older indian friends does not explain the entire story (they cant compare the conditions where before the invasion as well, so, its not a decent accessment). but tell me, living under a rule is better than living free, either way, indians where dhimmis under the muslims or brits.

india’s only downfall was its not being united & a nation riddled with caste, they dont have a common language, but they do have a common law, pseudo administration & a decent education system.

india did fend off the muslims before the brits invaded.

even british after the roman influence took a long time to catch up, for 300 years they did nothing or contributed anything at that time, (no excalibur dosnt count). things just take time & this is the beauty of evolution.

iv lived a long time in europe, studied their history, but living in asia today gives me a great deal of understanding from another point of view. perhaps you would like to take this further with a decent historian in britain.

but as rights goes man, you are free to say anything & educate us & we will do the same

please feel free to believe britain achieved many things on its own without invading, stealing & killing.

  10. Claptrap.

Are you saying Zimbabwe, the former Rhodesia, is better off under Mugabe then under the Brits? Are you saying Britain did not leave India better off than before?

    What have the Ghandis achieved?

Are you saying we are safer now that Gaddafi rules Libya? Are you saying Algeria is better off now than under French rule?

Are you saying there is more equality in Malaysia under Muslim rule than under the Brits?

Any Idea why Hong Kong is still lightyears ahead of China?

Remember what Idi Amin did to Uganda?

Any idea where South Africa is going?

  11. Sheik, I was expecting this. you cant win an argument, but you create doubt to support your case all the time, stop doing that man, feels like in debating a kid.

so tell me again, why did you add hindus with muslims in the mix? you started this, now fix it like a man, dont avoid it.

your point was to access india during and after british, I rebutted your point. I stated my case that these advancement was part of national logistics, britain cares less about the welfare of the people before its profits – please challenge me here. even historians from britain support this case.

as for all the colonial powers, ever noticed why after a colonial rule, all the things got messed up? name me any significant issue before the colonial rule?

as im in malaysia, i could explain, no theres not much equality, but theres more freedom, with british rule, indians cannot be successful going against the brits, but now they can. Besides wasnt the brits responsible to bring the indians by chains to estates & leaving them to rott after independence? did you know, over 50% indians where not recognized by the british and were asked to leave malaya? they had proof that they worked in railways & estates. look at what britain did when 30,000 indians marched to the british embassy (read: hindraf) they ditched them in cold , but like it or not, the indians position has not changed.

did you know after 1996, chinese people despised british so much that they refused to serve them even in restaurants, i know, i was there. they hated them so much. everyday there were stories of autocracies perpetrated by the brits in every channel. but hong kong is a joke, look at shanghai. light years my !@#.

did you know amin idi, ghadafi etc had business interest with the british? did you know the blood diamond issue, go read the trials. perhaps your unrhetoric questions could be answered with another question, how come the majority countries europeans invaded were in worse shape then before it was invaded?

you cant compare issues during occupation & after occupation, you need to access the situation fairly else you will be known as a nintendo mindset.

while i do agree with some of your points, i disagree with the way you pen it. you should have the utmost responsibility to do the right thing.

  12. sheik, you really cant answer when cornered cant you?

if you wont or cant, just say it. it will save us lots of time, but i suspect you will answer with another question as usual.

im not against you, in fact i support this blog. but how do you think you are going to defeat islamic invasion when you cant get your act straight?

perhaps needs a blogger that can read & write &
i hope you dont chicken out when the time comes.
