OIC accuses U.S. of “incitement” over Qur’an burnings

Essentially, they appear to be looking at the irrational and lethal fit of anger gripping Afghanistan and saying “Look at what you made us do!”

There is no sense of personal responsibility or free will not to throw a tantrum, more or less as if one had poked a beehive with a stick. Therein lies a fundamental source of instability, and therefore, poverty in Afghanistan and elsewhere: wrath and pride made sacrosanct.

No one will build or invest if it’s all just going to go up in flames the next time someone gets insulted.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu deplored the burning of the Holy Quran by the US forces in Afghanistan, and called for swift action to punish those responsible forthe provocative act.In a statement on Thursday, Ihsanoglu described the incident as a “deplorable act of incitement”, and said that the act runs “contrary to the common efforts of theOIC and that of the international community …to combat intolerance, andincitement to hatred based on religion and belief.”

The statement also called on “the concerned authorities to take swift and appropriate disciplinary action against those responsible.”

Also on Thursday, US President Barack Obama sent a letter to his Afghan counterpart, apologizing for the acts of desecration.

The developments came as anti-US demonstrations are underway across Afghanistan over the burning of the Holy Quran at the US Airbase.

Media reports said that at least twenty Afghans have been killed since the beginning of protests on Tuesday.

Note the use of passive voice to sidestep discussion of how they died.

They do burn Bibles, Christians, churches, children, priests, women, ministers, pastors, missionaries, etc., ad nauseum, ad infinitum …

Burn all Qurans and televise it world wide. Laugh in their faces and push a red button every time they demand an apology. For every US serviceman killed, kill a hundred thousand Muslims. As stupid as they are, they’ll begin to catch on after a few hundred million …
liz February 26, 2012 at 11:53 pm: of course, all this is the fault of the jews. perhaps some mossad agents dressed as american soldiers infiltrated the base and barbecued the books. or maybe the mossad mailed some pre-burned books to a soldier stationed there, and when the soldier opened the box, he found a burned mess and tossed it in the garbage.

the jews are just so devious. if there is a problem anywhere on the planet it’s surely our fault; hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, haboobs, sun spots, drought, birth defects, infertility, car accidents, cancer, rashes, jock itch, big toe stubbing, …the list is endless.
