Our country is under attack and we are either too blind, apathetic or politically correct to acknowledge it. Perhaps have we, like Europe, succumbed to the intimidation of radical Islam and the cultural subversion of Shariah?

At its best, Shariah is portrayed as a moderate, alternate legal system, governing such things as marriage and business transactions and dietary customs. At its worst, Shariah is a totalitarian ideology that governs all aspects of life, though not adhered to by all Muslims. Islamic supremacy is the ultimate goal and the death of freedom of religion the inevitable result. Unfortunately, it seems to be infiltrating our country.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which frequently collaborates with the Obama administration, is pursuing international accords that prohibit “incitement against Islam” – in other words, banning and criminalizing anything that offends Muslims. But what offends Islam? Here’s an example: In January, retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin, invited to speak at West Point, was forced to withdraw after pressure from theCouncil on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) because he might “cast Islam in a poor light.” You may also recall an American in Pennsylvania who was assaulted by a Muslim immigrant for parading in a sillyHalloween costume called “Zombie Muhammad.” The victim – not the Muslim attacker – was chastised by the presiding judge because such “free expression was punishable by death in some countries.”

The burning of an American flag and the despicable behavior of individuals protesting at the funerals of American servicemen have been determined by the courts to be “a constitutionally protected form of free speech.” It would appear, however, that criticizing Islam or mocking Muhammad is not.

Thanks to a lawsuit filed by CAIR, Islam’s propaganda organization, the citizens of Oklahoma also became victims of “stealth jihad” when the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declared unconstitutional the Oklahoma ban on the use of Shariah when deciding cases.

Groups like CAIR and OIC have become adept at influencing and manipulating our legal and political systems. They have learned how to use our multiculturalism, our penchant for political correctness and the Obama administration’s appetite for appeasement. It is this “stealth jihad” that will destroy us from within.

Let us stop fearing what might offend one particular religion and start doing what is right for America.
