House to examine proposal for United Nations regulation of the Internet

Because nobody knows more about free speech than Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Sowdi Barbaria, right?

According to the UN  Internet access is a human right, so naturally the best way to police that human right is to put the UN in charge of the Internet.  (Michelle Malkin)

Drilling down on Agenda 21

You need to understand this: Agenda 21 is  what’s behind the globull worming scam, the master-plan  for a world government under the third world thugs from the United Nations.

The U.N. has become nothing more than an advance scout for Islam and communism. The sooner Canada leaves it the better.

“Agenda 21″ The UN’s diabolical plan for the world is explained on the “Glenn Beck Show”

Beck does a splendid job exposing this scam and the crooks behind it:

It combines all the scams you ever heard of under the directives of the United Nations, including population reduction. If you still have a few braincells left you gotta ask yourself how that’s going to be achieved.

As the satellite picture shows, bright ideas can have black consequences. Communist North Korea might be able to build a nuclear bomb, but its people are now so poor and starved that many are reportedly driven to eat the bark off trees. Herald Sun via Pamela

Anyone who needs to have the link between modern environmentalism, Stalinism, and pure anti-human evil spelled out in plain text is directed to the writings of Finnish ecomoonbat Pentti Linkola. A few sample quotes:

“What to do, when a ship carrying a hundred passengers suddenly capsizes and there is only one lifeboat? When the lifeboat is full, those who hate life will try to load it with more people and sink the lot. Those who love and respect life will take the ship’s axe and sever the extra hands that cling to the sides.”

This is where we’re heading:

“Any dictatorship would be better than modern democracy. There cannot be so incompetent dictator, that he would show more stupidity than a majority of the people. Best dictatorship would be one where lots of heads would roll and government would prevent any economical growth.”

“The most central and irrational faith among people is the faith in technology and economical growth.”

“We will have to — learn from the history of revolutionary movements — the national socialists, the Finnish Stalinists, from the many stages of the Russian revolution, from the methods of the Red Brigades — and forget our narcissistic selves.”

“Everything we have developed over the last 100 years should be destroyed.”

“A fundamental, devastating error is to set up a political system based on desire. Society and life are been organized on basis of what an individual wants, not on what is good for him or her. … In democratic countries the destruction of nature and sum of ecological disasters has accumulated most … Our only hope lies in strong central government and uncompromising control of the individual citizen.”

“Law of the Sea Treaty”

Obama et al. Plan to Loot USA for $Billions With Law of the Sea Treaty

Putting a socialist fundamentally hostile to this country in the White House is opening thousands of cuts both large and small. The blood loss they cause will eventually be devastating. A particularly nasty cut calls for $billions of our wealth to be redistributed abroad by bureaucrats headquartered in Jamaica:

The term for this is international welfare. The idea is to “spread around” American wealth to parasites living beyond our shores, and to keep this blood flowing even after the Manchurian Moonbat is out of office.

Its worth digging deeper, we will go down the sinkhole like North Korea if we don’t stop these subversive cretins and ‘community organisers':

G. BECK Part 1 UN MAURICE STRONG UNITED NATIONS

Update:

Agenda 21

“sustainable development”–Read More »

Those who follow Glenn Beck might be aware that Tuesday marks the release of his latest book, “Agenda 21,” the suspenseful and perhaps sobering tale of a futuristic America in which a UN-led program spawned an authoritarian state where individuals are stripped of all personal rights and freedoms.

Oddly, Beck’s novel is not simply a work of fiction, but based on an actual program created by the United Nations by the very same name — “Agenda 21″ — which, according to the UN’s own website, is a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations system, governments and major groups, in every area in which human impacts on the environment.”

In so many words, the United Nations seeks to co-opt, via individual governments, and eventually, a “one-world government,” privately held land under the auspices of ensuring its “sustainability.” Worse still, the UN’s Agenda 21 has even laid out plans for “depopulation” or rather, “population control.” If it sounds like something out of George Orwell’s 1984, that is because Agenda 21′s tenets are eerily in line with the demented alternate reality Orwell himself had imagined while scribing the pages of his famed novel.

“Sustainable development” is the catch-phrase Beck urged his Monday evening viewers to be leery of.

Where one can live and what land should be designated for would, under fully-realized Agenda 21 plan, be controlled by the United Nations and a future one-world government. Consider the following section from the UN website on Agenda 21′s plan for “promoting sustainable human settlement development.” Emphasis added:

The overall human settlement objective is to improve the social, economic and environmental quality of human settlements and the living and working environments of all people, in particular the urban and rural poor. Such improvement should be based on technical cooperation activities, partnerships among the public, private and community sectors and participation in the decision-making process by community groups and special interest groups such as women, indigenous people, the elderly and the disabled.These approaches should form the core principles of national settlement strategies. In developing these strategies, countries will need to set priorities among the eight programme areas in this chapter in accordance with their national plans and objectives, taking fully into account their social and cultural capabilities. Furthermore, countries should make appropriate provision to monitor the impact of their strategies on marginalized and disenfranchised groups, with particular reference to the needs of women.

7.5. The programme areas included in this chapter are:

(a) Providing adequate shelter for all;

(b) Improving human settlement management;

(c) Promoting sustainable land-use planning and management;

(d) Promoting the integrated provision of environmental infrastructure: water, sanitation, drainage and solid-waste management;

(e) Promoting sustainable energy and transport systems in human settlements;

(f) Promoting human settlement planning and management in disaster-prone areas;

(g) Promoting sustainable construction industry activities;

(h) Promoting human resource development and capacity-building for human settlement development.

Watch below as Beck explains exactly what Agenda 21 is and how everyday Americans are already experiencing its implementation, perhaps without even realizing it. The videos that follow feature Agenda 21 experts — even one self-proclaimed “liberal democrat” — delving deeper into this sinister-sounding agenda. They discuss how the program has slipped under the radar, working its way into everyday life slowly but surely, and what the outcomes of full implementation would be.

For a comprehensive review of Agenda 21, please view TheBlaze Magazine’s feature story here.

“Wildly liberal” Democrat, Rosa Koire:

Vince Flynn, author of “The Last Man,” also joined Beck on the program to discuss Agenda 21 and how both of their novels have taken real life events and woven them into fictional tales. Beck noted that he will be criticized for the fact that his book on Agenda 21 is fictional, but that the subject matter is, nonetheless, very real.  What’s more, “it’s what the left does with every single movie you’ve ever seen,” Beck noted astutely.

5 thoughts on “Agenda 21”

  1. Most local government areas have Agenda 21 “initiatives” under way, in one form or another – names may vary, agenda is unchanged:

    http://aries.mq.edu.au/pdf_handbook/6-WhatIsLocalAg.pdf

    [What is Local Agenda 21?
    Local Agenda 21 is a policy tool for implementing local sustainable development and at the same time it is also a learning process for both the community and local government. It was first described in Agenda 21, the global blueprint for sustainability that was agreed at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development
    in 1992 (the Rio Earth Summit). Chapter 28 of Agenda 21 identifies local authorities as the sphere of governance closest to the people, and calls upon all local authorities to consult with their communities and develop and implement a local plan for sustainability – a ‘Local Agenda 21′. By 2001 more than 6,400 local governments in 113 countries worldwide were developing and implementing LA21s.]

  2. This seems to be a rather dangerous instrument – and I do not feel comfortable with the UNs apparent need for global control.

  3. Imposing Cap & Trade Through LOST

    The insane LOST treaty that Obama et al. are trying to sneak through the Senate would do much more than redistribute $billions of Americans’ money to Third World dictatorships. It would cripple the economy by inflicting backdoor Cap & Trade. Unsurprisingly, the treasonous Hanoi John Kerry is behind the latest maneuver:

    President Obama’s plans to pass economy killing cap and trade regulations may have died in the Senate in 2010. But, if Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., gets his way, they will be resurrected after the presidential election.

    At a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing Wednesday, Kerry announced that he would not be submitting the United Nations Conventions on the Law of the Sea (LOST) before the November election. Instead, Kerry intends to hold a series of hearings before the election, building the case for passage, before pushing the treaty in a lame duck session. This is the exact same game plan Kerry executed to pass the New START treaty in the 2010 lame duck.

    Demorrhoids would have you believe that sacrificing American sovereignty to supranational entities will enhance our security. Obviously, it will not. The real purpose is to inflict devastatingly harmful regulations while evading responsibility in the public mind.

    Here is how it would work: In much the same way that the contract you signed to get your credit card contains a binding arbitration clause, every country that signs LOST submits themselves to the jurisdiction of international tribunals for “maritime disputes” with other signatory countries.

    When you hear the term “maritime dispute” you might think of something like an argument over shipping lanes. But LOST also obligates signatories to “take all measures necessary to ensure that activities under their jurisdiction or control are so conducted as not to cause damage by pollution to other States and their environment.” Carbons emissions are considered “pollution” according to most sources of international law.

    So, if the Senate approves LOST this December, any country who believes they are being harmed by global warming could force the U.S. into binding arbitration, most likely in front of the Annex VII Arbitral Tribunal, LOST’s default dispute resolution forum.

    Any judgment from that tribunal would not only be final, it could not be appealed, and it would be immediately enforceable in U.S. federal court. In 1982, a similar arbitration body forced Canada to set caps on their sulfur dioxide emissions causing industry to spend millions on mitigation efforts. A LOST tribunal could set similar caps on U.S. carbon emissions, triggering trillions in economic damages.

    Anyone who attempts to turn over American sovereignty to hostile foreigners is a traitor by definition; it should come as no surprise that their motivations are malevolent.

  4. ALABAMA TAKES A STAND AGAINST SOROS-BACKED ‘AGENDA 21’

    Although the U.N.’s George Soros-backed plan for “Sustainable Development” (also known as “Agenda 21”) seems to have gone largely unnoticed by many Americans, the shadowy, backdoor attack on personal property rights didn’t slip past the people of Alabama.

    “Alabama recently passed Senate Bill 477 unanimously in both of its houses. The legislation bars the taking of private property in Alabama without due process,” Investor’s Business Daily reports.

    The bill specifically states the following:

    Alabama and all political subdivisions may not adopt or implement policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in or traceable to Agenda 21.
    But let’s back up for a bit and talk more about “Agenda 21.” If you haven’t heard of it, you owe it to yourself to read up on it. Simply put, it’s an international initiative that overrides personal property rights all in the name of the environment and “sustainability.”

    Here’s a good rundown via The Blaze’s Mike Opelka:

    Agenda 21 is a two-decade old, grand plan for global ’Sustainable Development,’ brought to you from the United Nations. George H.W. Bush (and 177 other world leaders) agreed to it back in 1992, and in 1995, Bill Clinton signed Executive Order #12858, creating a Presidential Council on ‘Sustainable Development.’ This effectively pushed the UN plan into America’s large, churning government machine without the need for any review or discussion by Congress or the American people.
    […]
    The seeds for Agenda 21 were planted back in 1987 when the writings of Gro Harlem Brundtland (a woman who was first Vice-President of the Socialist International) caught the eye of the UN. Dr. Brundtland wrote a report for the UN called, ‘Our Common Future’ eventually got into the business of environmentalism as a tool to control all the people of the world and establish a global government. The growth of ICLEI [International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives] and the framework being put in place by supporters of Agenda 21 appear to be bringing Dr. Brundtland’s ideas closer to reality

    As mentioned in the above, “Agenda 21” is little more than an all-out attack on personal property rights. Indeed, as Opelka notes, the body that drafted the initiative (the U.N.) has openly and without hesitation stated its opposition property rights:

    Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole.*
    Oh, and if that’s not reason enough to be wary of the U.N.’s “sustainability” project, consider the following: “In 1997, George Soros’s Open Society gave ICLEI a $2,147,415 grant to support its Local Agenda 21 Project.”

    But despite the slow and steady growth of the project in the United States, Alabama proves that, contrary to what some would have you believe, not everyone’s asleep at the wheel.

    However, even though Alabama’s Senate Bill 477 will be viewed by many as a victory over “Agenda 21,” it doesn’t mean that the U.N. or the Feds are anywhere near through with their “sustainable” agenda. In fact, Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson will attend the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development later this month in Rio de Janeiro, IBD reports.

    “Specifically, in a transition to a green economy, public policies will need to be used strategically to reorient consumption, investments and other economic activities,” a U.N. document describing the conference explains.

    “We don’t need ‘environmental governance,’” IBD writes, “just a governance of, by and for the people of the United States.”

    “Nor do we need to ‘reorient’ our consumption and economic activities. Alabama has just told the U.N. and the EPA what they need to be told — don’t tread on us,” the report concludes

    Update:

    The American Civil Liberties Union is battling an Ohio school district’s “controversial issues policy” that would mandate classroom discussions about creationism and other conservative issues.

    Think Progress, however, describes the proposed curriculum additions more bluntly:

    “Right-wing conspiracies advanced by Glenn Beck.”
